I think it's hilarious that no one cares enough to make a GDT

I was thinking of the entire system being affected, not just the Dmen. If the fowards aren't rotating back when a Dman leaves the blueline, that contributes to the rushes going the other way.

IF it is, we're playing the complete wrong system for our personnel.

We have strong 2 way forwards and strong 2 way defensemen, we should be a chance generating machine.

Yet all I've seen us do is cycle low.

We have to get the defensemen more involved in the offense, all the time and we have to cover for them when they are.

With our defense, the high slot should always be wide-open.

Send a message via AIM to AdmiralsFan24
Mike Fisher interview. Talks about fighting in hockey, realignment, Seth Jones, most exciting player not named Crosby or Ovechkin (is Ovechkin even that exciting anymore?), hazing in the NHL, the Olympics and of course a little Carrie.

Some stupid questions

And knocking out Regis' teeth.

Do we know why Ekholm was scratched? Just another stupid roster management move by Trotz to "send a message"?

Coffee with a coach:

-Said he thought Maz played really well. Would like to have 2nd goal back but he liked what he did.

-Forsberg will be back in the lineup possibly as soon as this weekend.

-Talked about things the players do off the ice on roadtrips and went on aboit how great the leadership of the team is about keeping guys together.

-Forwards have to produce more then went on to complain about them trying to hard because scoring wasn't coming easy which was leading to goals the other way.

-Said no one is betting on the Preds in Pitt but went onto say
that the Preds are a really good team to and anyone can win in a given night. Example Horachek and the Panthers 9 game skid beat the Ducks lastnight.

I think Eckholm needs to go back with Klein. I don't like Klein with Jones or Josi.

I know that puts Josi on the 3rd line, and I know his skill level is better than that.............but.......I still think it needs to happen for the time being.

And please put Jones and Weber back together.

As for the offense........ I wouldn't even know where to start. But I'd rather see AHL players making mistakes than vet being lazy.

Something is broke in the "system" and I don't know enough about "systems"..........so Trotz fix the damn thing and if you have to scrap whatever your plan is............DO IT

I have a weird feeling that within the next two years, Fenton will be our GM. Poile is getting up there in age, and I could absolutely see him retiring from the GM position (with or without ownership pressure), but staying on as an AGM or consultant.

I have literally 0 backing for this, just makes sense to me.

If I remember correctly he signed a modest extension with the intent of Fenton taking over.

He was in full team practice today but wasn't allowed any contact. Sounds like he is getting closer to coming back.

Lines for practice: 57-11-27, 26-28-15, 24-7-9, 33-13-25. Looks like they're working on breakouts.

sigh.... so all the hollering that FF or Stalberg shouldn't play with Goose, now we should be saying the same for 15? Trotz, put 24 with Goose where he belongs, please. As well as he's played, Nystrom S% is 11.1 and Smith's is 5.7 - that's gonna' even out, and while I want to see our 4th have scoring potential, it needs to be cause they run people over and push that bloody puck in the net from inside 8 feet.

Really, we need Fish back so we can put FF with him for the toughness and D Trotz clearly thinks he needs on a line with FF. Then 24 can go skate with Goose.

Pens haven't scored at ES in three games. No changes to our lines. And most fans hope we're shutout so our coach wakes the **** up.

Judging by the comments over here, it should be a great game.
