Smith has been noticeably bad lately, at least to me. Demotion is justified

Lines for practice: 57-11-27, 26-28-15, 24-7-9, 33-13-25. Looks like they're working on breakouts.

.
You know, I kinda like the idea of Cullen and FF having Nystrom to agitate and draw away some attention... Might open up the ice a tad.

i thought he was decent. still doesn't justify going to play with scrubs on 4th line when he was best forward for majority of season.

As long as its temporary I'm fine with it. Besides, 4th line is a very loose definition. Only 3 minutes of ES ice time separates our "1st" and "4th" lines.

i can go with that. hate that we roll like that.

just think it sets a bad precedence.. be great all year and have a rough game or two and boom... on the 4th line with hendricks and goose. it all depends on if you're a vet or rookie i guess.

Yeah, Smith is the last person who has been "noticeably bad" on this team. Go get your eyes checked. How is that?

You must have missed the last few of our games. He has been noticeably bad, especially defensively. Coaching staff obviously agrees.

He should still get full PP time hopefully. We'll see how he responds.

No i didn't miss them. This whole team has sucked the past few games so what is your point?
I can name several players that have played worse than Smith.

So you propose the whole team plays on the 4th line?

Again, What is your point? Smith has been one of the bright spots on this team whether you want to believe it or not.

I agree he's been one of the bright spots on this team. Just not for the past few games whether you want to believe it or not.

Just ran into Clune, Rinne and Nystrom in green hills. Rinne still has crutches and Nystrom was up and about with a bit of a cut above his left eye.

According to sportsclubstats.com, we have a 3.5% chance to make the playoffs. I repeat, 3.5% chance.

Also, we have the 4th worst goal differential in the league. -22

He has been fine. He is not going to be a Patrick Kane so get over it.

Trotz sent Smith a message and he listened. Turned out to be a smart move didn't it?

I'm still confused how Patrick Kane fits into this discussion...

He scored a goal. Makes perfect sense.

He was never on the bottom line so it wasn't a move at all. Maybe in your mind.

You and others rag Smith because he is not a Kane, Crosby, or Stamkos.

You fail to see what he is and the the fact that he atleast tries to score an forecheck hard everygame and is one of the only Preds who does not disappear for long periods of time.

This team does not even have lines. Trotz changes lines constantly and everyone knows the Preds do nor have definate lines per say so your diagnosis of him being demoted to the 4th line is flawed from the start.
