My favorite part about the gif is the "What's wrong bro?" shrug Coots does with his hands at the end. Love it.

Someone should compile all three of Couturier's "what the hell?" shrugs from last night.

It looks like Couturier grabbed his stick as Malkin started to skate away, and Malkin was too exhausted by getting manhandled and throwing his fit to bother holding on.

Or maybe he didnt want to get pulled down by his own stick. Even if he did just drop it, thats the ultimate "you won". lol

Coots needs to take this even further and start sending malking and crosby xmas cards, and notes before the game wishing them good luck. Basically mind**** the **** out of them.

He needs to emulate George and use this pose for those cards:

Love this kid, he's the type of player like many have already said that you win cups with, when he can shut down players like Crosby and Malkin, like clockwork that goes a long way, as we have seen you take those two threats away the team (although they have fire power besides Cindy and Gina) seems to shrink a bit
Couts biggest value is going to be on a playoff run where he shuts down the opposing teams best players that gives the Flyers a much better chance to win, and puts the Flyers at an advantage

Despite the points not coming I'm really happy with Coots right now. He's been more physical, great on faceoffs and has excelled on the PK. The offense will come at some point. Will he be a 30/30 guy? No, probably not but he brings so many other things to game that you need to win in this league.

Umm, past tense? Couturier already turned Malkin inside out when they deprived the Penguins of their rightful Cup 2 years ago.

On the gif from last night's game, I like how Malkin just glides toward his bench. That's a dejected man.

While I've criticized Coots in the past and will probably continue to do so in the future, last night he did an amazing job.

I love this guy so much. Homer better never trade him. At WORST he's going to be one of the best top tier shut down centres in the league and play on our third line. Those are priceless in this league. How many jimmies he rustles with Malkin alone is worth it.

Oh, right I forgot PS can't do png files, unless PS6 has added that. PNG is the same as GIF with a few more features, while also being superior in its color quality and compression algorithm.

Don't want anyone trolling another teams board or anything, but the Jets have a nice Scheifele/Couturier comparison article. Two actually.

I just read both articles and the thread so far. I love how one Jet fan tried to say Couts is looking like a Paul Gaustad clone, then was quickly put in his place.

The reaction of the team was odd. When Giroux got his first the entire team were out celebrating. When Couturier gets his, even his line mates don't run up to him. Giroux barely looked bothered. Almost certainly nothing, but is Couturier popular?

Reader was happy for him behind the goal. Downie just did a skate by but thats it.

He is a cancer though, Toronto will be doing us a favor in taking him.
