Yep. Not to mention his attempt was halfhearted at best.

I think we would have had a better chance to score if we had mason skate down the ice for that attempt, rather than timonen's ****** shot.

Yeah i feel like an idiot now, i made a post after the first few PPs saying it looks lethal and then i hear its the worst PP in the league. Geez it looked exactly like a Pittsburgh Pens PP, almost.

Buff's dance after his goal was lame as hell, makes as much sense as Voracek not shooting at all in a SO

The point is nice.

Flyers are just so bad in shootouts... as soon as Vinny got stopped in OT I was expecting the loss.

7 out of 8 points is pretty nice.

Crap game we were out paced and out played most of the night, once again Mason was our best player and gave us a chance to win and earned us a point. In the Overtime we looked real good and thought Coburn was going to get me the Grand Slam tonight. Shoot-outs Suck!

I do remember Kimmo burying 2 pretty nice ones I believe. But that is going back a bit.

But yeh, Jake or Couts would have been my picks.

I feel like the Flyers sold their shootout souls for that win against the Rangers in 2010. I mean seriously...three chances to win it and neither Vinny, Read, or Schenn could get it done.

The road trip definitely caught up with them. I still thought they played well considering, its just frustrating they couldve still pulled out a win if these guys knew how to approach a break away.

Not sure if it's apathy as the Flyers suck at them but the shootout has worn out its welcome. They just aren't all that exciting and certain teams will get access to the playoffs being good at it. Ironically, SO no longer matter once the playoffs start.

People that are saying that the Flyers were trying to sit on the lead in the third or they didn't put in a full 60 minutes, I think you're confusing that with they had no legs left after 3 games in 4 days. They just didn't have the energy to skate with the Jets, especially with the strong skating Enstrom and Byfuglien pushing the offense from the back-end in the third.

Honestly.. everybody else was probably going to miss too.. so I really can't blame Kimmo or the coaches.

Maybe Timonen has been putting on some sick moves in practice on 1 on 1s

Yeh, I think they realised around midway to two thirds into the 2nd that if they kept bombing forward with a full press they were going to give up odd mans regularly, as they had already started doing that... so had to change approach.

So, did everyone enjoy Buff's audition for the Flyers?

If that is the case, then he did the exact opposite of what he does in practice

You could tell they got tired there at the end, which is understandable. Still a good road trip overall, I'm happy with it.

The shootout is a joke and they seriously need to take it out of the game. I'm all for extending 4v4 time, having some 3v3 time, or even just ending with a tie and 1 point each.

I think the fair way to deal with it is 4v4 for 5, 3v3 for 5...

and then a coach vs coach fight at centre ice.

Would be completely even and fair.

If it is a draw GM vs GM... then Assistant GM vs Assistant GM.

I disagree that we were outpaced most of the game. We had a great last half of the first, half of the second and the OT. Needed to get a goal on that 3rd period PP, or at least some momentum out of it.

They looked great in the OT too, and deserved a better fate. Now, back home for a winnable home stand and they could be right back in the race.
