Trying to sit on a lead for forty minutes is idiotic. That's what happens.

Voracek had an awful night. The guy was a turnover liability every time he had the puck.

Awful, awful game plan overall, regardless of it being the third game in four nights.

He's the biggest disappointment this year, IMO.

Why Kimmo? No Voracek? Hartnell? Simmonds? Couturier? I mean some of them might not be good at shootouts but they couldn't be any worse than Timonen.

He needs to come into the season in better shape. He's looked better every game until tonight, but there's no excuse to be that out of shape that far into the season.

I don't think they just decide on a whim who to throw out for the shootout, I'm sure they practice it and it's quite possible Voracek sucks when they practice them. I don't recall Lavi ever using him much either, just because he's a good stick handler doesn't make him good in the shootout.

I think the whole team played well but just ran out of has in the third. That make up call really killed us. L. Schenn had a great game which is a great sign. He and Gustafsson looked like a solid pair out there which if that continues, is great for our future.

Annoyed they sat back so much... but then again they did play 3 games in 4 nights so they were tired.

As others said, can't complain about 5 of 6 points.

You know, coming off an emotional win in Pitt., the Jets being well rested, I'm happy with the point. I expected a game of this fashion coming in.

Would have been nice to bury one of our OT chances though.

Just got back from Chickie's & Pete's in South Philly where Preston and Steve had their Totally Office Calendar giveaway, and I watched pretty much the whole third period as I was waiting in line to get my calendar signed. Was a shame that Byfuglien tied it up, but a point is at least good. Still couldn't get past why Berube sent out Kimmo to force the shootout to continue as I probably would've sent any forward other than Rosehill. Oh well.

If they had another 5 minutes of OT I'd think the Flyers would've scored, as they had a lot of chances in the extra frame. Perhaps they implement this in the future as they're at least talking about it in the GM meetings IIRC.

Coburn looked like Bobby Orr in overtime. If only he could've buried one of his chances.

Oh well. Another good game from Mason. I hope the Flyers "sitting back" in the third was them just being tired and didn't want to be burned by the Jets quickness.

And just wondering, since TCN didn't show a replay of the Downie penalty, was it a bad call/make up call or was it legitimate?

The Good: I don't know.

The Bad: Missing this game.

The Ugly: Janet Reno.

Someone fill me in please! I need a full report, no matter what. I promise I won't get mad.
