Great and important win for Medvescak today im pleased lol As it is now we are 4th lol but still plenty of our division teams to play yet.
Still its awsome how close everything is. Some teams are dropping away slowly but with a small streak that can easily change. I love it

Riga, yet another win at home today over Omsk. Omsk looks dead this season...

I hope they will stay dead for at least 4 more days, or let's say until 28th November. Poor Říha. (Or is it Rzhiga on these boards.)

Today's meeting between Medvescak and Salavat wasn't the first one. Back in 1994/1995. in Federations Cup Ufa beat Medvescak with 21:1 !

Acording to the coach of our U18 and U20 NT's, who played in that game, Russians played whole third period without goalie and of course, our players couldn't meet with the puck...

Huh? Slovan was very weak in the first half of the game. All credit for the win must go to Janus. That performance had last-season calibre; he stole many games for Slovan that way last season.

Yep. The performance was not charming, but we finally won a game with luck - we need this.

Aaargh... can't agree with that, either. Luck? It was a great performance by Janus in the first half of the game when the rest of the team was asleep. So that was Janus's skill, not luck, I'd say. In the third period, Slovan was dominating, lots of scoring chances in addition to the 3 goals, so overall, I wouldn't call it a "lucky win". A very uneven game with a good ending for Slovan. But Slovan has had much better KHL games, like the home win against Lev this season.

Anyway... the ferocious Canadian-powered attack of Barys Astana coming up tomorrow... I wonder if Janus and the defence can keep them at bay. Barys is not very sound defensively, so there should be some scoring opportunities for Slovan.
