Anaheim Ducks ‏@AnaheimDucks 1m
The #NHLDucks have acquired defenseman Jesse Blacker and two 2014 draft picks from Toronto in exchange for Peter Holland and Brad Staubitz.

Mod edit to include specific picks:

Quote:
Picks are third and seventh rounders in 2014 draft -third round pick becomes second should Holland play 25 games this season after the trade

What are the picks? Toronto may be down it's 2014 2nd rounder from the Bernier trade (Leafs option on if it's 2014 or 2015).

Holland is a much better prospect than Blacker, ANA better be getting at least a 3rd back.

Anaheim Twitter didn't specify, beat writers haven't said what the picks are either. I'm going to assume they are not very high (3rd/4th?).

Holland will be an interesting project for Toronto, great AHL scorer, hasn't been very good in the NHL

Does Toronto really need more muscle? Anyways, interested in seeing what round the picks are.

Initial reaction as a Ducks fan is anger. Lots of it.

I guess Carlyle is somewhat familiar with Holland. If I remember correctly there are some question marks of his ability to compete level, but the talent is there.

Good trade for Toronto although not so sure where holland will fit in. You would think their biggest need is that #1 center not more depth Centers

Holland had just fallen so out of favor in Anaheim. Still though, these better be at least 3rd round picks. He was great for our AHL team. Moving Staubitz and his 1 way contract saves us money too.

With Kadri Bolland and bozak all out, it's between him and McClement.

Anaheim just wanted to get rid of Staubitz' NHL contract. It's really Blacker & 2 draft picks for Holland. We'll see if Holland can develop in Toronto.

Holland is 22 years old and has been a solid AHL producer...too early to say he will never pan out.

David Pagnotta ‏@TheFourthPeriod 48s

Holland was a bust in a recent ANA/TOR thread, I wonder how that will change now.

Atleast we can have a competent center playing until our injuries/suspensions return
