Holland is going to be a very good player.

As an Anahiem fan I feel nothing at all. Nor should anyone.

Mathieu Perreault has emerged as our second-line center, Bonino will be effective in the bottom-six, and Rakell has looked very good as well. There is absolutely no spot for Holland on our team. I'm happy we got a couple of picks for him.

Dropped down the depth chart (Getzlaf/Perrault/Koivu/Bonino/Rakell/Winnik) only going to get lower when Karlsson comes over.

And probably wanted to get rid of Staubitz really badly.

Yeah, and Staubitz could be the foreshadow of another Mike Brown trade. If we can get another 4th round pick, that would be beautiful

I do like Anaheim/Toronto trades (I wonder why ), so this is interesting to see.

Our last few games have been terrible, hopefully this will help us beat the Sabres.

Holland is going to have to show something really quick in Toronto or he is going to get buried.

Good trade for the Leafs because Blacker is 100% useless. Getting Holland for a 3rd is pretty good.

This will definitely prove one thing: Holland isn't better than Kadri but I'd love it if he can prove me wrong now

Staubitz is a throw in. AHL'er for the Leafs and the Ducks (I think).

No, he's on a 1 way. If Nonis takes him and waives him, it will hurt his credibility.

We may be trading one of them for picks. Because now we are thin. I wouldn't be surprised if Liles and Kulemin are packaged together for some picks too.

He's already in the AHL, gone through waivers last month

He is literally our first line centre by default for at least the next two games.

He doesn't have much competition for a few more games. We have a winger playing C on the top line, and then McClement, Smith (scratched/AHL call up) and a guy who was on an AHL-tryout not too long ago (Smithson)

Interesting to give up on Holland, but with how good Anaheim is doing, I guess they just figured to go in a different direction. At the worse case it's an interesting Colbourne replacement. Good trade Toronto.

Good shot and a good frame (but doesn't use his frame much at all), meh at faceoffs, very good at AHL level, not very noticeable in any of his NHL stints, has the tools to be an NHL player, but hasn't shown it yet, and was pushed down the center depth chart at Anaheim.
