Man I thought that was some brilliant trolling in that post. You actually feel that way.

I feel bad

Michel Therrien is that you behind that user name?

The only thing Desharnais has contributed in the 20 games this year is one shoot out goal. That is it!

Don't kid yourself, the "young skilled guys" could never bring the grit that Desharnais brings. Desharnais goes in harder than Gallagher on the boards, the guy's a beast!

Obviously not, you always want Desharnais out there in the final minutes of the game because he wins battles along the boards with his grit and peskiness. The guy is always skating hard, I've never seen him float. Also, Desharnais likes to finish his devastating checks.

It's just unbelievable when you think about it.

What a sad game apart from Price

Usually by now I've bought the CenterIce package so I can watch the Habs but really thinking about whether I pull the trigger this year and instead just listen on the radio and catch them on the NHL channel.

Desharnais - 18:29
Bourque - 19:15
Bouillon - 17:56

To be fair, Gallagher was still suffering from the flu which caused his low ice time.

Eighteen and a half minutes to DD is scandalous. They need to cut a small hole in the ice and drop him into it. They can recover what's left of DD's career when they take the ice out in April.

And, with God as my witness I think the Habs should have used Briere more. There, I said it and now I'm going to go light myself on fire.

What an awful effort. Ice times all screwed up, not sure what MT is thinking here but it obviously didn't work. Kind of a waste of a few hours there. Except for Carey that is.

That is indeed the case, luckily you didn't waste 3 hours on a nice Saturday night watching that ********, unlike the rest of us

Hockey players, especially the professional NHL type that are in Montreal, are known to be rebels and do not do what the coaches instruct them to do.

They are on their own. Therrien is behind the bench because he wants to be there and he likes how he looks on camera.

What do you think?

Are you off your meds again ?

There are no tangible universes where stuff like that ever happens except in mental patients's.

That said, the overplaying of Desharnais again was all kinds of ugly.

Therrien's ice time management is a problem. I can only hate on Desharnais so much, at some point some of the criticism has to be directed to the guy who gives him the ice time. It is not even that Desharnais played that bad, but come on!

I don't expect this team to be a winner this year, but there are some moves that boggle the mind. Bouillon needs a game off.

I think you imply that there is a level of stupidity amid this coaching staff that is unattainable due to physical limitations of the human species. If it is truly the case that MT has decided that the system employed last season which had so much success, should be deliberately changed to this atrocity before us today, then he doesn't need to get fired, he needs to be put in a psychiatric institution.

I think this is a case of poor line management with a combination of little to no confidence from our forwards and defensive squad to pressure the offensive play like last season. This is a much more believable scenario.

Note: You have not answered my original question... again. However, your sarcastic remarks amuse me.

Well I guess I didn't miss much. What made me miss the game wasn't fun though.

Out of curiosity, is there anyone out there that doesn't think Therrien is a terrible coach?

I don't think he's terrible.

He's neither good nor bad.

Just occurs to me he won't put a team over, if you catch my drift. Who was calling him a "transitional coach" again ? Seems like we've only had that kind for the past ten years.
