Eaves and Mills clear waivers.

St. Louis puts Chris Porter on waivers.

Wings with Tootoo and Eaves in the minors eh. Rough

Maybe Porter wants to try his luck in Europe?

Yeah, probably unconditionnal/termination waivers (but usually Bob McKenzie specify it) because Porter is already in the AHL.

Following up on @FriedgeHNIC report that Porter is on waivers, move is to see if any club wants the forward. Waivers not needed for recall.
We saw the same thing with Brad Staubitz last month.

Leafs send Liles back to Marlies.

He last cleared September 29. Should he not be back on waivers? Feel like there would be more talk

I believe he has have been recalled for a full month before waivers are needed. If not, he is free to move up and down without waivers for the rest of the season.

Oh. A month on the active roster? I thought it was a month in between being exposed to waivers.
The former would explain why he was free to go down again.

No, from what I understand, it's a month on an NHL roster (regardless of how many games, or even if he plays, though I'm not sure if a recalled player getting hurt affects that time line).

Yeah, sorry, I guess by active roster I meant, called up on the NHL main roster, not actually playing.

Curious though what they what do if said player was put on LTIR...

It's 30 days on active roster OR 10 games played, whichever comes first.

Being on IR/hurt would still be on active roster. After 30 days of being up they would need to clear to go back down.

And any waiver status is transferred to the new club in event of a trade correct?

ie Staubitz cleared waivers for Anaheim October 20th (<30days and has not played 10 games), and has been traded to Toronto. Toronto would not need to expose him to waivers to send him to the minors, for now, correct?

Was Staubitz on the pro team though? I thought they waived him just to see if someone would claim him, but he stayed in the minors?

I don't get to hear too much about the Ducks. I thought he was in the presser after the second waiving. Maybe he stayed on the farm.

I'm a Pens fan that usually is on top off of all the league's transactions...and I had not a clue. Even on the Pens broadcast last night, they only listed Jeffrey as a healthy scratch. I don't recall them saying he was waived either.

How high were the Stars on the pecking order? Seems like a bam bam play him being placed on waivers then picked up in rather fast action.

He just tweeted a few minutes ago that Jeffrey was claimed by Dallas and Troy Bodie cleared waivers (and that no one is on waivers today!).

Didn't know Bodie had been waived either. I did see where the Leafs sent him to the Marlies so figured something must have happened.
