Consider? If I was Bergevin I would sign the papers before the WPG GM had the chance to get sober.

Gionta is not "finesse". Nor are Plekanec, Patches, Bourque, Gallagher, Bournival, Briere(perhaps he's a little finesse, but he still gets dirty for most of his points) and the fourth liners. If anything we need more offensive creativity to replace guys like Gionta and DD to give us variety in the top 9. It's a shame we had no picks in 2010 and no second rounder in 2011. We have very few offensive prospects who are NHL ready.
2 of the 4 players i named are considered finesse players (dd and briere), i mostly meant non-physical players like gionta, dd and briere. bourque is redundant on the team aswell. basically we have too many soft/fringe top 6'ish players on the team, i'd rather give more ice time to our top 6 players and have a solid defensive 3rd line with offensive potential (prust - bournival - insert good 2 way RW)

instead of having something like bourque/briere-dd/gionta as our 3rd

A big guy with sniping ability would really kill two birds with one stone.

Could be Nash, Stewart, Voracek, Vanek, or Kane.

ideally a RW'er, cheapest player on that list is stewart. problem is we would have to trade plekanec at the very LEAST for most of those guys(or forwards from our core), that would leave another hole in our top 6
someone like simmonds could be had for like beaulieu + most likely, hes definitely a better 2 way player than stewart but has less offence.. we really need a solid sniper tho T.T

I thought the only French player we had was playing in the WHL: Tim Bozon

I have very little interest in Simmonds. He's a complimentary player for the second or third line with very little to add offensively. He's not a power forward, he's a gritty player. Great for what he does but I don't think he's a key piece on a contending team or worth what it would take to acquire him.

Stewart would look really good playing in an offensive system with good offensive centres, he's done it before. Not worth Plekanec at this point in the year.

We may have "acquired" him without moving any assets. Thomas is just back from injury and has one of the best shots in our entire organization. Maybe he'll get his chance if things don't improve in the next couple of weeks?

Don't like the idea of trading Galchenyuk, but if looking for a big shakeup like some are asking, though on the following big trade.

Galchy + Gorges + (bourque or leblanc or beaulieu) + ?
For Kane + schiefele + (byfug or bogo)
Basically:
Galchy>kane
Gorges<byfug or bogo
Bourque or prospect<schiefele
So depending on the d we get and the third piece to wpg adjust as required.

kane-pleck-gio
patch-eller-gallagher
bourni-schiefele-briere/bourque
Moen-white/dd-prust
Markov-pk
Emelin-byfug/bogo
Bouillon/murray-diaz

Any other proposal if we trade galchy that could bring a young established lw, an upgrade on gorges at rd and not necessary but nice a young c with 2c potential.

Fire away

Why would you move a potential franchise 1st line center, for an established LW?

value aside thats just not a realistic trade..

id much rather trade plek for stewart + carrier and like a 2nd. blues fans agreed on plek for stewart + 2nd last season and stew's value dropped off since then. i think we could sneak someone like carrier or hakanpaa in

would really love carrier tho, GOOD OL' WEST ISLAND BOY

Sell out veterans (Gionta, Gorges, Bourque, Desharnais, Brière) And keep the cap space to spend wisely. Tank tank tank tank...thank you.

Desharnais
Gorges
1st rounder

for

Campell

We need D-Men with good outlet passes to get the puck to our forwards, and Campbell is the best in the game at that.

He's very small, very expensive, and not exactly a spring chicken. Isn't this what we have Markov for?

I'd rather we took a chance on a guy like Del Zotto, he's shown real flashes of being a very good distributor and an effective defenceman.

If there's a big shakeup my bet would be PK would be the one going and next would be Pacioretty and Price would be moved only if he asked to be traded.

It's almost never that a GM trades his first pick - 3rd overall unless things really break down because it means he was failure and it's easier to get rid of the previous GM's mistakes first.

McCarron would perfectly compliment a guy like Pacioretty, would let him play his game while McCarron focuses on winning his battles behind the net and crashing the net. I'm not gonna lie, I doubt that McCarron would be ready for a role like that 3 years from now but this thread is purely for fantasy purposes so it doesn't matter

Now that I think about it, I could see Leblanc on that third line with Bournival.

yea leblanc could be good, mccaron has been pretty atrocious in the ohl this year. knights fans basically view him the same way that we view dd

Not sure it means we made a mistake as much as Eller progressed more than expected and we think we can make a few cup run with eller, pleck and return from our great pick:galchy.
Not sure I agree, but that was the idea behind proposal and see what other though?
