Buffalo doesn't send him down.....they send Leino home because they can't risk injury to a compliance buy out.

Straight up Leino for DD with no salary retention I would do it. If DD doesn't change then buffalo buys him out....

If Buffalo could get something useful from Montreal to take on Desharnais contract to free up the cap space for the Habs, Buffalo has the space and the CBO's for this summer if need be. Leino likely gets bought out on one, but taking on a bad deal from the Canadiens would have to be something beneficial on the ice for Buffalo to spend their money on a second CBO to use on Desharnais.

The only way that Bergevin could unload DD would be to do a Versteeg-like deal. I doubt we see a bad contract for bad contract deal. Then again, Versteeg could have more value to the Blackhawks than DD has to, well... anyone.

DD can't be complianced since his deal was signed after the lockout.

makes no sense for both teams, both teams are trying to get rid of these contracts not exchange them.

Plus, the Habs already used up their two compliance buy-outs on Gomez and Kaberle. Double-kibosh.

I love how fans of other teams notorious for posting bad trade proposals looking for trash for quality, come in on this thread and bash a Habs fan for trying to trade crap for ABSOLUTE crap. At least DD has been successful on his current team, Leino hasn't been. It's crap for crap.

We aren't trying to trade Booth for a top 4 dman or Hemsky for three first rounders here. It's crap for puke, not crap for cracker.
