NHL forward for Douglas Murray

No idea why Montreal signed the guy.

Therrien is using Bouillon over him. The guy is a solid #5-6 guy. He has been doing his job in Montreal.

Im a fan of Murray just don't know why sign the guy and make him sit. He is a shutdown dman and exactly what Montreal is lacking and then sit him for Bouillon. Being wasted. I know there are teams looking for defensive dmen.

Anyone willing to offer a roster forward for him? Not top players or blow this out of proportion. Just a bottom 6 guy with size would do.

This would allow us to bring up Tinordi or Beaulieu and give them some experience. Plus we have Drewiske back in February or March.

No we need a forward. Drewiskie will be back probably after the Olympics. Plus we have Beaulieu or Tinordi who could come in and do some work.

Any possibility or Ryan Jones? Same cap hit and both expiring contracts.

Mikael Samuelsson (Tootoo if Sammy doesn't waive hit NTC) and Eaves from Detroit?

None of them are of interest really.

Samuelsson I doubt would waive his NTC and isn't the same anymore.

Tootoo and Eaves were just on waivers they aren't players the Habs could use. Tootoo we already have fighters. Eaves hasn't really been the same as well, just not the same player anymore.

You're probably right about Samuelsson but Tootoo and Eaves are still good bottom 6er's, just cap casualties in Detroit. Tootoo's an energy guy who is like a wrecking ball and he's not a bad scorer given his role. Eaves is fast and great at killing penalties, capable of playing on higher lines if he needs to.

Eaves I guess wouldn't be so bad.

Murray would fit in with the Swedes in Detroit as well.

I just don't think Bergevin would make a deal like that I think he would want a hitting bottom 6er with size.

Tootoo hits a lot, pretty short but he's thick. What if a 6 or 7th was thrown in?

How about we just get rid of that !## M.T. and bring in a real coach. Then we can sit or dump Bouillon and play Murray for now.

Didn't Murray sign like a few weeks before training camp?

I'm sure many teams skipped over offering him a contract for a reason..

Nope, he was holding out for a better deal than he had on the table in July. "If you sign for cheap, they'll treat you cheap", his own words.

Douglas Murray is a guy who only clears the crease for you. He sucks at virtually anything else. He needs to be paired with a mobile partner to do his job.

Phoenix doesn't need another defenseman, so if NHL Player Derek Morris is traded it would be for a forward.

Murray is atrocious and doesn't belong in the NHL. You won't get anything of value at all.
