Habs have scouted pretty well every Avs game so far.

The options I see are Mcginn, Parenteau and Cliche. I don't think the Habs could afford Stastny and I don't think the Avs want to let him go.

It's in preparation for the Stanley Cup final.

Probably a trade with the Panthers.

Habs are probably scouting Roy. "The one that got away"... again. But he can't last forever in Colorado, and one day, maybe many many years from now, they will correct the mistake.

What?? Aside from face-offs he's been great.

They owe us for the Roy fiasco And no, taking Theodore doesn't make up for it.

He's awful at them. Johnny Malkin's really good at faceoffs though, and as long as he's not playing on a scoring line his inability to pass isn't too much of a hindrance.

Tallon and Bergevin together at the Rochester vs Hamilton(Montreal affiliate) just a couple days ago.

Now Montreal scouting an Avs game but they are playing Florida.

My bet it's Florida and couldbe trying to get something done.

That is my read as well. Could be related to Mattias or one of our D-men.

Don't really see any deal happening between the Habs and Avs but I'm really hoping that Colorado is talking to FLA about one or both of kulikov and campbell

The point is MTL has been scouting the Avs. It wasn't only this game. They've been frequent guests at Avalanche games. Not sure about on the road.

I like a lot of things you say, but in this we disagree. I hope the Habs are not scouting that traitor and I hope he never coaches our Habs for as long as he breathes.

I think that the Habs are probably scouting Florida for a big deal they might like to make but won't be able to. Mathias or Fleischmann as smaller deals might end up being what we go for.

Probably doing homework on O'Reilly should become available later in the season.

Could see it being Ryan O'Reilly.

To MTL: Ryan O'Reilly and Ryan Wilson

To COL: Rene Bourque, Josh Gorges and a 2nd round pick.

There's a reason you can see it being Ryan O'Reilly. If the Avs were scouting the Pens "I could see it being" Sidney Crosby.

Been waiting to see the following .GIF pop up, figured this would be a good place for it.

I laughed but then got sad because this was probably serious.

perhaps I'm off base, but I don't see it as bad as you guys.

Bourque < O'Reilly - Bourque on a nice deal for 2 more years, ROR will command close to 5 mil.

Gorges > Wilson - Top 4 dman who stabilizes any partner. Good fit.

2nd

would Gorges for O'Reilly make sense?

The point I'm making is the two GMs of Montreal and Florida have been seen together at 2 games related with each other's teams. Florida has been scouting us and us in return.

The fact the the GMs are talking on several occasions is a good indication.

I know we have been scouting the AVs too but seems like their could be really decent traction with Florida.

Don't want RoR.

If the habs are scouting the Avs I'd say

McGinn - Physicality and able to finish on the bottom 6.
John "Malkin" Mitchell for the 4th line centre role.

That's about it that would makes sense for the habs AND not have to overpay for.

The Habs would absolutely have to overpay to get Mcginn.
