Stop living in the past.

Cheechoo was once a 50 goals scorer.
Jason Blake was once a 40 goals scorer.
Gomez was once a 30 goals scorer.

Yeah he would have been a top scoring in the past, but in the present, after 25% of the season, he still ****ing have less points and goal than Mike Smith.

By NHL player, we don't mean Ryan White is better than him.. but is he good enough to play an important ROLE in a succesful team.

Seriously, if you want to build a cup winning team, do you want DD as a part of the top 2 or even top 3 center?

Jagr no doubt

Lecavalier at center is better than Desharnais no questions asked, and if he was given a serious offer...
I mean he was offered the same contract Diaz is rumored to negotiate right now.

Ryder? We have 1 natural goal scorer and its Pacioretty. we definitely need moar

I'd even take back AK46 at this point. If it wasnt for expectations he was the perfect third/second line winger.

Morrow was a huge stretch I admit it

I just watched Therrien's post-game presser. Near the end someone asks him about the Desharnais situation, and how he's passed Briere, who's now delegated to the 4th line. The reporter than asks what Briere should be doing better.

Therrien answers with, "I like David Desharnais. I think his line was our best tonight and created the most chances".

That's it. It looked like a planned response, praise Desharnais, make no mention of Briere. It feels like the word came from management that he should get top line minutes.

All will be forgiven in my books if it comes out eventually when it's all said and done that this was all for showcasing him. At least that has some sort of constructive logic behind DD's sudden jump to first line minutes.

Desharnais to Europe Rumor

This was written on RDS

http://www.rds.ca/hockey/canadiens/l...ilton-1.685508

I doubt that they will send Desharnais down to the minors, they should, but i doubt it. Will his Europe team call and offer? He is the type of player who would dominate in Europe IMO

I don't care it's a rumor. Just the idea of DD leaving this team and stop making those around his worse while contributing to absolute ZERO on both ends makes me happy.

I think there's a Pee Wee BB team in Slovakia that just made him a good offer.

Why is everyone picking on Desharnais as if he has caused all the problems. He is only one player and right now nobody on this team can score.

Doubt the NHLPA would allow the Habs to do that...

I dont blame him, I blame MB for giving the stupid contract.
MB has done nothing good other than bringing in Prust so far.

TY MB for extending Moen and Desharnais. Pls extend Gionta too while you're at it.

If Bergevin is smart will act quickly before its 35 games and 2 assists. put him on waivers one of these desperate basement dwellers who have a bit of extra cap space may take a chance, it would be Christmas come early for Habs fans. no offence DD

Let's also thank him for trading a slumping winger for immediate help and a draft pick.

That's besides the point though. I doubt DD to Europe happens.

Because he's on pace for 4 pts this season. Others are bad too but not DD bad.

At this point, if DD hits the 20 pts mark by the end of the season, it would almost be decent production.

Perhaps Hydro Quebec would be willing to donate 10.21 gigawatts to get him there ahead of time?

I really like how quick he threw that contract at DD, while play hard and low balling our best player.
Lmao @ Desharnais' $3,500,000 AAV and Norris winner's $2,875,000 AAV.

Irrelevant to bring up the Norris trophy since he won it after signing his bridge contract.
