But isn't it?

Wonder if they give Halak Buffalo or will Elliott go. If Elliott gets the Sabres, he'd have appearances in half the games in November. Or do the Blues want to give Halak a shot at redeeming himself.

Well, Halak doesn't need to "redeem himself", so...

About at least 5 players on our team would be waiver wire on any western team.

We could surely make room for him on our 4th line... Somehow though, we were not wrong about him. Usually, there are always a thought that comes up and you wonder if we'd gave all the chances in the world to a player or if a player would finally shine elsewhere and just needed some fresh air......in Weber's case....it never crossed our mind. We all knew what the Nucks were getting. They now know what we were telling them.

To be fair Weber is not a Tortarella system player at all. Even more so he's not suited for the western conference at all. I think Weber would succeed on a team like the Islanders. He's certainly better than Drewiske.

I remember saying Weber and Kaberle had zero value in the NHL and I was flamed for it.

Guess not.

Halak has been absolutely a train wreck on my fantasy pool for 2 months. They only thing he does is win. Save % is atrocious constantly 2-3 goals on 15 - 20 shots

Of course. I meant a word more suggestive of him slowing down the process of blowing his starting role for 3rd time in a row.

Sounds like he's the first star of the Habs at the Bell Centre. Give the guys some pucks to distribute.

3rd time, eh? Interesting reckoning there. Coming out of training camp every year dating back to his Habs days as his team's starting goalie (okay, it took him a few weeks to get there in '09/10) suggests he has never actually "blown" anything.

1st time was 11/12. 2nd time was 12/13. If it happens in 13/14, it will be the 3rd time.

Use whatever term that best fits the process of Elliott slowly earning majority of the starts with superior play and durability despite management assigning Halak #1 status from training camp.

What's interesting is the role reversal of being the goalie that takes starts from the management's choice as starter to being management's choice starter that has starts taken away from him.

If he doesn't improve he's going to lose that job. The Blues are contenders now with many people seeing them as the favourites to win the cup. I wouldn't at all be surprised to see the Blues make a trade for a solid goalie. If Halak's not more consistent I think they'll make a move.

And I feel your pain as I have him in all my pools as well. After a good start he's really started to suck.

In order to "re"-deem himself he needs to deem himself.

How many years is it now that Halak loses his starting job? Imagine if this guy played in Montreal?? Woooof

We all know Montreal "fans" always remember the best of the players who leave and the worst of the players we have.

We all know a team with Halak, Cole, AK, Lapierre and Latendrese would be a perennial Cup contender.

Wow.. What a goal by the Russian player. Walked right through the QMJHL team and beat Fucale upstairs.
