Winnipeg earn another point via a shootout. That's 7 points they've been awarded for basically nothing. Take them out and they have 5 wins. Five.

This is what they need to stop. Its clear Winnipeg is aiming for the skills competition. I mean, I guess it evens out, if you get into the playoffs via shoots outs, and shoot outs are eliminated in the playoffs, you won't go far.

I don't know why but I really don't like the Jets.

So its not a surprise that the Flyers are the worst ever at Shoot Outs.

Why?

Its not like they've trotted out the same team the last 8 years. How have they changed so much, yet the results are always the same?

Buffalo sent Zadorov and Grigorenko back to juniors. That's good news for Stolarz and London.

Keeping a game tied after 65 minutes isn't "basically nothing". Far from it really.

Don't know why losing in the shootout is so much of a crime compared to winning in one if you think it's such a gimmick.

3rd game in a row now, and 4th game this year he will have been a healthy scratch.

Oh wow. I just assumed that he had been a scratch and hadn't gotten to the nine game mark yet. If so, Buffalo with another lol decision.

At least keep him up until you destroy every ounce of confidence that he's ever had like the Flyers did with Sbisa.

Zadorov only played 7 games, they've been scratching him a lot.

Grigorenko on the other hand played in 15, second year in a row they sent him down after he played in 9+ games.

Buffalo is hell bent on destroying Grigorenko. It's the only explanation.

While his ELC kicks in & now they only have one year left on it, his free agent clock doesn't kick in yet.

Some teams worry more about that than the ELC years.

thought Zadorov had played more games than that. Makes little sense to send down Grigs. Do they not understand the rules in Buffalo?

according to capgeek, he'll be an RFA after next season. Usually means cost more money, but its not like he'll speak to 6 mil

Yeah, all the whining about shootout points done by some posters here is ridiculous.

His free agent clock towards UFA years won't start until next year. 7 years in the league or 27 years old to be a UFA, next year will count as his first year in the league assuming he plays more than 40+ games in the NHL.

I think it's more to do with the fact that they waited too long to fire their incompetent gm and coach.

Didn't grigs get sent on a conditioning stint?

Looks like for good. Rob Ray had some nice things to say about him haha.

Patrick Roy said basically the same things about him as well from his time with the Quebec Remparts.

Ted Nolan said he could see some guys who needed a kick in the *** the moment he stepped into the locker room, I'm guessing Grigorenko was one of them.

Patrick Marleau of the San Jose Sharks was involved in a serious car accident in San Jose Tuesday. He was not hurt, according to the team.

The driver of the other car was injured. A witness told NBC Bay Area the second driver had his legs trapped for a time and appeared to be in a lot of pain.

He was taken away in an ambulance.

Marleau was driving on W. Taylor Street just a few blocks from SAP Center when his SUV collided with another vehicle, according to the witness.

This happened just after noon at the corner or Stockton and W. Taylor in front of a Salvation Army store.

Both cars suffered front-end damage.

The Sharks tweeted that Marleau was not injured.

Argumentative as usual. You don't get the extra point for keeping a game tied for 65 minutes though, do you? You get it for just winning a short shootout.

Sure, you don't lose but you don't win either. Having a situation where 65 minutes of hard, honest hockey is worth the same as 3 shots at the end is farcical and it cheapens genuine points.

Hell, look at the Jets. They've only legitimately beat 5 teams this season and are well above us.
