Just give him back to us this year and we'll send him back for the next season. Deal?

Just listened to the morning press conference and Ristolainen is going down to Rochester. I'm curious what TPS does here.

As far as TPS are concerned, Ristolainen is their contract player and can only play in Buffalo or Turku. We shall see what happens.
Considering the stuff that comes out of the mouth of TPS front office these days, it would not suprise me if Vuori doesn't know full details. To my knowledge (based on some Swedish players recently), if the player wants to go AHL and the his former team has no objections, it is possible. Though as I said, TPS is in such a mess these days, that they probably would force Ristolainen to play for them(which considering the state of the team would mean going from a bad team to an equally bad team).

Does this all mean he is likely to play at WJC?

Doesn't matter, this is hockey... Trades and similiar s*it just happens.

I think TPS should just just war to get him back, it will end up on "free" 200 000$ or so.. If they don't even try... what an idiots! The contract is on their side, im sure buffalo won't make problem out of it.

Jussi knows where Rasmus wants to play.

No AHL thing only applied when he had played under 10 games. He is under contract with Sabres now so there is nothing TPS can do.

Didn't say anything like that during the summer. Link?

This pretty much puts Risto out of the Sochi discussion. Too bad.

What?

He said that like yesterday They've obviously been having some conversations in Buffalo. You claimed he didn't state it during the summer which was the opposite what he thought at the time.

He stated multiple times during the summer he'd rather stay in Finland and never did he say he'd stay there no matter what.

Before his departure to NA, I remember reading form Turun Sanomat that he's willing to play in AHL as well. I guess he saw what a hot mess that club was already back then.

What a gamebreaker.

What a stud.

The kid apparently decided to win it at OT by himself.

Anyway you guys could trade for Chara, and throw him on the ice with Myers, Ristolainen, and Zadorov in a 4 on 4 situation? It'd be like having a man advantage. lol

Stand aside Selänne, put Risto on the wing and the new Flash is born.

I have only watched couple Buffalo games and Nashville games but i have to say i'm more impressed by Ristolainen than Seth Jones. I remember there were quite many who said they prefer Risto over Jones. It seems their upside is pretty close.
