There's no doubt Kuznetsov has game breaking skill. Elite skating, passing and vision. Great shot, possession, mind for hockey. The question with this player will always be his desire to succeed at the highest level until he proves that by crossing the pond and working his ass off to become the player he can be.
i haven't seen any progress in kuznetsov's game the last couple of years. so if at 20 years old they are somewhat close, 27 year old kuznetov won't be even close to 27 year old rads. you need to hold your horses here. and yes it's moronic to say that in order to progress he needs to go to the nhl.
Yikes. From my understanding, the main reason Kuznetsov stayed in the KHL for a few extra years was to play big minutes and put himself in the best position to make the national team. His talent is undeniably world class, it's time this guy traveled across the pond to the top league to display it!
Kuznetsov told R-Sport that he'll make good on his vow to join the Capitals at the end of the season. “Everything has been decided long ago, so I won’t stay for 10 or 15 million,” he said. “People have been waiting for me, writing and coming here for three years. I’m a decent man and I will keep my word.”
