Well... there is a chance we get a brand new shiny Kapanen with a better shot soon! ;p

He is very, very similar to his dad, they look the same on the ice (well, to Carolina Sami if you get what I mean)... which is confusing when they are out together!

Which leads one to realize our Defense is not nearly as bad as some continue to harp about ?

Couturier - only 33.3% o zone starts, playing against the Spezza line...and puts up a 76.2% Corsi. 16 shots for only 5 against. Wowza!
So happy he scored.

Exactly. Berube has done an excellent job of molding his system around the defense he was given.

I cannot find it... I am sure it was Phoenix, and maybe Calgary.

It was a long time! Like 4-5 mins minimum. Maybe time stretched in my mind... but both teams definitely scored, and the 2nd goal was the first stoppage.

And only 2 in the past 6. Keep in mind one of those was an empty netter too.

Team has been playing very solid at ES. They really need to tighten up the pk though.

Missed the game....had a b-day party to attend. Can I get a synopsis? Sounds like Streit wasn't good....still haven't been overly impressed by him. He hasn't been better than Carle...

You can thank me everyone. I switched to Lexington Bourbon. They've gotten points in every game since.

Talbot seems to be missed on the PK of late. Say what you will about his lack of offense but his PK skills are impeccable. Him and Fedotenko were really good....nobody has picked up the slack for those two yet.

Can you approximate the season? I'll get the hound dogs in gear later.

They also take a lot of penalties which is a big part of it. Though this specific game was just more bad luck and bad officiating then anything.

The Flyers have a history of taking lots of minor penalties across the seasons as well.

10-11 or 11-12 I imagine. I have an imagine of Shane Doan in my head associated with it, so that is why I am thinking Phoenix.

Somehow he manages to impress me more and more as time goes on.

Not that there are many doubters left, but he's absolutely the genuine article.

The Rangers, Islanders, and Red Wings lost and Columbus is getting smacked after the 1st period. Great news for us.

EDIT: Ok Detroit doesn't matter...for some reason I thought they were in the Metro. Anyway still good news.
