I am open to discussing something including three way, but while Kristo is not off the table, he looks like cup a coffee guy this year, could be emergency call up, and has legit shot next year when Richards is gone and a hole at F is opened. Supposedly he already has enough offense skills which NYR needs, and is getting minutes with defense as key target area of improvement.
Kristo was traded for Thomas, a 2nd rounder.
Kristo expected to make NHL soon after this season.
Kristo does not command a premium, but is not cheap, either.
How about equal value for Pouillot and Dorsett?
Rangers can use other guys for bottom six, and if you can come up with something SJ will take for Demers, that could work.
Pouillot and Dorsett are not top 6 material and would not interest us at all for demers. Kristo + 2nd for demers could interest us, but only if we could flip Kristo++ for a 25 year-ish old, left side PMD that already is top 4 caliber. (We would need that deal in place before pulling a trigger on this one).
