Well, according to the NHL.com Box Score, Voracek only played 14:03 tonight. Unfortunately I think that's a bit more than a few faceoffs.

Just got home from class. Sounds like we played a good game. I heard something went down involving Steve Ott. Can someone fill me in? Thanks in advance!

And still no even strength goals against... nice

While they were losing I kept saying over and over to have faith and that this team could still turn it around, look at them now.

It's been a wild ride. The Pitt game was good. It's gonna be interesting when they play better teams

Even though they were playing badly the stats said the same early on... but they have noticeably been better since New Jersey. Earlier on I thought they looked good vs Vancouver, Anaheim and the Islanders... but they are putting in those kind of performances every game now, and grinding when the scores are close.

They used Vinnie with Streit and Timonen with G and Hartnell on the 5 on 3s. Voracek sat in favour of Hall at the end of the game, not sure what the reason was.

Putt Vinny on the top PP unit instead of Hartnell.

Just saw Read's first goal. Couturier was really strong on the puck before passing it to Downie. That's great to see!

They really need to break up the top line. They spend too much time in their own zone and they don't produce very many great chances. Four even strength goals in 10 games isn't going to keep this team winning games once they start facing some tougher competition.

Nice to see the Couturier line finally bury a couple. They've been fantastic and generating the most scoring chances out of all the lines, which is good for them, but it really should not be happening with the talent on the top two lines.

It really wasn't much. He took a shot at Rinaldo right after a whistle and Rosehill went after him, but Rosehill was the only one who got a penalty. Ott started talking, Simmonds got in his face, Ott gave him a little punch, Rinaldo came over to talk and got ten. Ott just kept talking the rest of the game.

2nd best in the east through the last 10 games now.

Dallas win tonight and 1 point out of a playoff spot.

Oh ok thanks! My Twitter feed was blowing up about it so I thought Ott took a run at someone or something like that.

Yeah, and I dont agree with this decision in the slightest. Streit has done nothing to warrant icetime over Jake. Regardless, leaving your second best player off a 5-on-3 in moronic in itself

The problem I see with splitting up the first line is that hartnell and Simmonds would be on the same line, assuming the 3rd line stays together. I feel like one of Schenn and Voracek should be on Vinny and Girouxs wing

I would've preferred the original PP, with Simmonds AND Harts in front, G and Timonen. Whether it's Vinny or Jake on the right hash doesn't matter, but you need two in front.

Giroux is a plus 6 in the last 6 games. Before that, he had yet to have a plus game the whole season!

I would say give Voracek and Giroux some time apart. Both are adept at carrying the puck up the ice, which is something sorely needed on the wings of the second line, as both Schenn and Simmonds are poor at it and neither of them can receive a pass while skating with any speed.

Giroux and Voracek have both passed up way too many chances to shoot in order to try to find each other and are generally just too fancy with the puck when simple plays to the net can be made. They regularly enter the zone with speed and the puck on their sticks, (Giroux and Voracek are the only guys who can regularly do this) but after that, it's usually a turnover.

You can't though. The other two lines in the top nine are playing some fantastic hockey right now. That whole if ain't broke thing.

They haven't been that bad either. That's a line that gets a ton of PP time. They're even strength time is going to be limited in a game with a half a dozen power plays for.
