I'm curious to see if the public sale ticketmaster tickets are the generic printouts or the actual souvenir tickets the sth's will be getting.

I do think however $207 each for those is a lot and that isn't even through the secondary market.
I think they would be better though than 234,235, or 237 agree?

I bought these at face value, you think these could have been cheaper on the secondary market?

I don't mean to but in to the convo but I don't think anything will be cheaper on the secondary market. Prices on stub hub and such are almost doubled. I bought two for face of $229 in the grandstands on ticketmaster and the same section is going for about $400 per seat on stub hub.

Got bleacher seats, hoping the view is good. Was really going to pass on this but a friend of mine bought an extra for me and the experience is going to be great (especially since I missed the WC)

The prices will decrease on the secondary market as it gets closer to gameday. Always happens with a big game. People can get away with charging absurd amounts early on because people are so into getting tickets early. By a week before the game you'll probably see them drop to right around face value, since a lot of people are looking to just get rid of them at that point.

Just a curious question, are more Rangers fans going to the game against the Isles or Devils? I know some are probably going to both, but which game do you think more are going to? I assume the game against the Devils b/c it is on the weekend, or no?

I'm going to the Devils game. Demand is definitely higher for the Devils game probably because it's the weekend but I'm not necessarily sure it'll mean there's more Ranger fans there Sunday than Wednesday.

Not sure how much of that is true. Considering this is a specialty game there will always be a demand. Also sites like stubhub charge the seller so many fees it would be pretty moronic to sell for face value because that would net the seller a loss.

Is it better to take a partial loss or a total loss? Obviously, people selling on stubhub want to make a profit. However, if the market isn't there, the options will be to lower prices to get the tickets sold, go to the game, or eat the tickets. If it is the Friday before the game, and there are still thousands of tickets available on stubhub, prices will start to drop.

I guess that's correct, depends on the seller. I personally have extra tickets for the game but being a die-hard fan, Id just go to the game rather than even lose $1. But that's just me.

I'm sure there are many people who bought tickets with the idea they will try to sell and if can't get the money they want, will just go to the games. I do it myself with Rangers tickets and Giants tickets on occasion. Did it for yesterday's Giants game. Put 4 of my tickets on stubhub for $275 each. Sold 2, and hadnt sold the other pair as of 2 weeks ago, so took them down and went.

Just snagged the steal of the century for the Rangers Devils game on stubhub.

Section 120B row 14 behind home plate (2nd deck) for $277 a ticket.

Tickets in the same row are going for $1650 apiece. Beyond stoked right now can't wait for the 26th !

I'm really sorry to be a debby downer but that's not much of a deal. 120B is field level, not the second deck. I'm not sure what the price break row is but those in row 14 could either be $79 face or $119 face. Those in the $1650 range is the asking price, not a sales price, nobody is going to pay that. There's 26 rows on field level, mid way up you won't be able to see any of the ice

Yep, you actually got screwed if you paid $277 for 120B.

Everyone on other sites seem to like them a lot. I personally cannot stand them. I guess they're an improvement over the black alts though so it skews the perception of them.

Hey guys. As far as can tell, the Stadium Series games will not be accompanied by any non-nhl events. IMO that is terrible. They will have a rink set up for a week and use it twice. That said, has anyone heard of any extra things being organized? For example: I think each winter classic has some type of hockey village outside the venue with vendors and other fun stuff. Does anyone know if we will we be seeing any scaled down version of that? Or will this be set up just like any other yankee stadium non-baseball event, only with a hockey rink across the field?
