Perezhogin was clearly overrated on this board. He doesn't even play well in the KHL.

Benoir Brunet is a nice proposition. He was very good and talented in his first years, with some nifty moves. But he got hurt badly on numerous time and became an OK defensive winger.

In recent years, it has to be the Kostytsyn brothers. So much talent...

Marcel Hossa had a lot going on for him. Great shot, great size, ok speed... but no determination.

Personnaly, I was always sad to see Tom Kurvers turned out the way he did. In his first year, he was the future of the blueline with Chris Chelios, as he was almost as good as Chelios offensively. But he got a really bad injury, to the eye I think, and never was the same after despite having a respectful career.

Ryan Walter, despite playing many years, was a great deception. I remember liking the trade very much at the time. Having a 40 goals per year pest, tough as nails, with 100+ pim, agressive and able to drop the gloves to play with Lafleur, had all kind of promises writing on it. But he found god...

...and I'm married, have 2 children, so the rest of the thread is pointless to me...

It's ;

- could've (as in "could HAVE")
- should've (as in "should HAVE")
- trophies
- notwithstanding
- roll (not role) <-- for the 2nd poster.

I know this isn't English class but it really doesn't take much effort to spell correctly.
I love this post.

Looking at your name, I noticed that you forgot an apostrophe after the B in Habs and forgot to place a separation between the words Habs and Fan. You are welcome. *wink*

I bet you're an optimist in real life. Oh! Since we're correcting our reports it should be it's ":" not ";" but that could have been a slip of the shift key.

Just teasing you because I agree with you AND this should be a dating site.

Good grammar and spelling is seriously underrated.

On a side note, if you're the kind of person that does online dating, that's one of those things that will get you ignored quickly by that which you seek.

Just keep that in mind.
I agree with you and Strat as well. Sloppy grammar and spelling just takes away from the quality of a post.

However, it is also in bad form and a bit impolite to point out those errors. What I generally do is just respond to the post and use the correct form in what I post. I also correct any errors I spot in the copied reference without pointing them out as grammatical or spelling errors. Hopefully the poster and other readers will see the correction and follow that way in future posts.

Life is cruel as almost everyone becomes a Kostitsyn at some point. The tit brothers were just better at getting there earlier.

It's informal and many people have English as second language. I am almost cured of my OCD, my rage is now limited to 3 things.

1) Canadians that dont use Canadian Oxford version of words ( Center versus centre)
2) Assistant Captain versus Alternate Captain
3) Two words- Josh Georges

I know you're all doing it to piss me off too.

Granted Jose had Montreal by its 'tail' and his future sure looked bright. His trophys and accolades not withstanding.

How about others who should of done something but never did--I think of Mr October.. not reggie Jackson, but Brian Savage. Have a bunch of goals but then faded away by November 1st. A non Hab would be Chad Kilger--4th pick and never really got it going.

How about your Mightys..Who can you think of where reality never met the potential

I met Beaker, once. He hates me. Or did, anyways. He's from Hamilton. I wish I could say more but I'm pretty sure it'd be considered libel. Or something.

ps. If anyone needs dating website advice

Hey whatever happened to that Erica poster...?
