Incoming Snowstorm (and other shenanigans)

I heard on the radio that a snowstorm will hit our city tonight, and will continue for a good part of tomorrow.

They project 15cm of snow for tomorrow morning, so I just hope that you plan ahead, even if commuting is already quite the challenge in the past weeks.

Will you really need winter tires if you use Champlain Bridge? It's not like you're moving anyways

Sudden stops on melted snow? Yes, you need winter tires.

Awesome. Shovelling is one of my favourite work outs. No sarcasm or nothing, I don't even own a blower.

Note to MY students :

I won't accept the snowstorm as a valid excuse for missing your 8am oral presentation tomorrow.

I find it funny that people are shocked that we get snow here.

Unless you just moved here from the Barbados or something, there is no reason to be surprised.

I live in the East end of MTL....AKA the land of Tempo shelters. No shoveling here.

So excited! Even though I'm in Ottawa, this starts my first *true* Canadian winter, seeing as I'm from the west coast.

I don't mind it to unless the snow is hard as rock and you need a miner's pick to break it up. Looks like we might need our picks tomorrow at some point.

What's the rush?
On the flip side there's a heat wave of unseasonably warm weather and your tires start melting away..................
1st week of December is fine, so is the 1st week of January for that matter

Well in Victoria, we get lots of rain. I don't think we had any snow last year.

Why wait and take the risk?

There has been snowstorms in late novembers and during December quite a number of years. It's a thing. It happens. Not being prepared for it is taking a risk for your life and other drivers' lives as well.

It's not like you are losing 500$ per day with your winter tires.
