Also, don't know if these guys just "post and run" so I sent a private message to that Kings Vision account here.
I'm not sure if you are reading the thread, but I wanted to throw my two cents in here in a private message.
That song is terrible. I cringe every time I hear it at the games. Surely you guys can do better than that. I don't know how much the Los Angeles Kings are getting in regard to feedback from fans of that song, but I sure wish you guys would replace it, and replace it soon.
Thank you for your consideration.
Hope they read it.
You should have added that you are pretty sure that song violates the Geneva convention
It always makes me laugh to see the ideas hockey people come up with for "in game entertainment" Its like, you're at an entertainment event, and you need separate, smaller entertainment events which are guaranteed to entertain, just in case the main event isn't doing the trick.
Seriously, just get rid of the song, and for a pre game festivity, just shoot the idiot in the mascot outfit out of a cannon and across the rink from one net over the other. You can even make the crowd do a countdown, and have the ref drop the puck when the cannon goes off. I'm sure the marketing budget can cover the minimum wage + insurance policy costs for the dude in the suit, and the morons in the crowd will quickly forget about this song. Oh, and I bet the guy / gal who came up with the idea for this song doesn't know anything about hockey and also probably led the show on the successful Annoying Orange spots...
Sorry - but you are alone in this. It's a terrible, terrible song. You should be in Staples Center when the song comes on. We're building up for game time, everyone is cheering, then that song comes on .. and sucks all the energy out of the room. Really. It just dies in there. This thing cannot go away fast enough.
It has been said that I march to the beat of a different iPod anyway
I don't hate it and I don't love it. What I do enjoy is the point of the song though. I think a different voice would make the song or anthem a lot better.
So much dramatics in one thread. How surprising.
Not sure how many games you've been to, but I've been to all of them save the first two when I was out of the country.
That song wants to make me puke my guts out every time I hear it. Someone mentioned above it takes the life out of the building. That's for sure. I'm amazed the Kings are doing as well as they are, having to listen to that **** in the dressing room. Perhaps Sutter has them wearing earplugs.
