I don't blame him. I'd rather live in Montreal making nothing than live in Buffalo making millions.

LOL. Tried to post the Monty Python clip for Spanish Inquisition but wouldn't work. Nice to see Dudley stay..tells you that he thinks this team has lots of potential.

True.To his credit, he did pick up Ladd and Bfuglyn. Impact players. Not enough to build a winner but huge pieces to get from another team.

Ahah the funny thing is he still lives in Buffalo, he scouts and is on the road so much there was no need for him to live in Mtl.

edit 2: Artem Telepin is Russian scout for the Habs AND Columbus? LOL ?
Telepin was left go by the Jackets a while ago, and Berg hired him.

also like most Ast GM and GM, they usually scout both amateur and pro, maybe not as in depth but still do both.

That's why many ppl thought our last draft was very Dudley like with drafting a ton of big guys.

Thanks for clarifying that....it makes a little more sense that he is involved in everything....it just that I remember news stories saying Dudley was good at the amateur scouting.

Are you aware that he is staying in MTL for the bling?

In other news, is he related to Bubba Ray Dudley? He looks like an older version of him.

His hair plugs didn't require one.

One of the opinions floating about is that Buffalo's set-up is not that interesting from a hierarchical standpoint (never mind all the other reasons to say no) -- seems that it'll be difficult to attract a high end candidate, when you'll have the likes of Pat Lafontaine breathing down your neck.

He's probably staying in Montreal for both the money and the small chance he becomes GM when Bergevin is ultimately canned.

Rick Dudley's hair looks like he's been dead for several years. You'd never know he was 64 if he shaved his head though.

About 2:45 in. When asked what he does day to day he said it varied (no surprise), but he says he takes care of negotiations with Larry Carriere and John Sedgewick, the head of legal affairs. Then he says he also does player evals. with Bergevin and Mellanby, and scouting of course.

It was interesting that Bergevin wasn't mentioned in the group of negotiators.

Sorry but the E.Kane was one of Don Wadell. I was there at the draft. The first pick of Dudley in ATL was Burmistrov who left for KHL this year.

He did mention several times about trades and finding the right person. I probably read to much into it but he emphasised these areas a couple of times.
