Some people really overrate the line mate effect. Linemates don't make up for the massive disparity in their numbers at their best.

Nash's peak is 18th in points. How can anyone pick him?

Came in expecting Heatley by a landslide. Was not disappointed.

3 - I obviously ignored injuries, but hey... If Heater was out there with next to nothing to play with and if he actually cared enough to play like a player with a backbone stronger than a wooden chopstick and was trying to win every game he would have been a mad injury case as well.
4 - Nash has way more skill. Look at his highlight reel goals and then look at Heater's highlight reel goals as reference.
5 - Whenever it became difficult for Heater to produce he demanded a trade. Nash hung around Columbus for a very long time with nothing and his totals were amazing. Like what if Crosby had Joensu, Petry, and Gagner 2 years ago to play with for the prime of his career? Would he be winning hart trophies and scoring races? Hell no! (no not comparing Crosby to Nash. Just saying that he wouldn't have accomplished nearly as much if he hadn't had good support players around him.)
None of this makes any sense. Hightlight reel goals dont make one player better than another. Point production does and Heatey was significantly better at scoring goals and producing points in his prime than Nash.

Idk i like both players... but something to consider... Nash's best Center man was what Vermette?

while Heatley had Spezza, then Alfie on the other wing... skilled team mates aren't EVERYTHING but were talking a potential HHOFer and a top center man in the league

i wouldn't say AINEC but id give it to Heatley

Battle of the has-beens? lol

Actual peak - Heatley

If I could take one of them for a one game peak I'd rather have Nash though. Nash has always been like an awesome fighter jet that won't really take off from the ground, he's quite frustrating to watch in that way.
