An injury prone player gets injured. How or why he gets injured is irrelevant. Crosby is injury prone, but not the most injury prone player inthe league.

I forgot DiPietro is a UFA now. He leapt to mind immediately. Salo should be the winner of this one, though.

Wow that blows! Some guys are injury prone and some are just unlucky.

I think Salo, Havlat and Lupul ended up with Homer Simpson as their guardian Angel I can just see it, Havlat comes over the boards and then Homer "D'oh!"

The poster has a point. Taking a puck to the face, for example, should not count towards proneness to injury. It isn't like a player can be prone to taking a puck to the face, right? It's just something that happens.

In my mind, "injury prone" means a player who, for whatever reason be it conditioning or something else, seems to constantly get injured and usually in the same way. Forsberg's recurring foot problem comes to mind. Some players, like Salo, have issues with taking a lot of groin injuries. Some players have problems with their knees, ankles or shoulders all of the time. Those are things that make a player injury prone.

How I view it is injury proness can be caused by conditioning or bad luck. A puck to the face would fall under bad luck, but an injury nonetheless.

Peter Mueller :-( Joey Hishon isn't in the NHL and may never make it because of his injuries, but he's absolutely NHL caliber when it comes to his game and skills.

Salo probably, but Hossa should be at least included in the list.

Every time I read or hear Colaiacovo's name, all I think about is the gif of him popping up showing his 'in agony' face. Bust out laughing every time I see that.

I don't thick it's Havlat. And trust me, I am definitely NOT defending him. He's ridiculous.

Skimming through the games played numbers without doing math, seems like it's…

1. Colaiacovo
2. Lupul
3. Hemsky
4. Havlat
5. Gaborik

But I'm not sure how many Colaiacovo was just scratched.

Definitely Salo.

Although it appears David Booth has learned from the master.

Lupul has seasons of 81, 81, 79, and 75. The 75 game season is cutting it close on what you can consider a "full season" but those others are legit healthy seasons.
