Big win. Especially by Mason and Couts.

Couts and Mason were a two man army out there.

Coburn had a good game. So did Grossmann.

Great game to watch imo. Glad coots got a goal, and a shorty no less.

Great game by Coots and Mason.

Voracek continues is really disappoint me. Where the hell has he been?

Great battle and nearing a 60-minute effort. They minimized prime scoring chances for the Jets, and didn't wilt as the 3rd progressed, the lone Jets goal as the exception. More finish would have been appreciated and they really need to improve their 5-on-3. Couturier and Mason were the two best Flyers on the ice today by a long way. Coburn logged another impressive game, especially where he was assigned to cover Buff.

All in all, a superb rebound game after the lost trip to Florida.

Solid all around team effort and we looked defensively
Coots short handed play tonight reminds me of Mike Richards. And our best player again.
Hartnell has looked a little better the last two games, hopefully he gets into his groove.

They would have lost this game on the road vs practically anyone, so im not too confident. 3rd straight game the offense cannot produce. Mason and Couts saved them.

It doesn't reflect on the scoreboard but they really deserved to win this game. Good effort.

But any team other then the Jets rolling a half decent PP would have gladly taken their gifts today. They need play more disciplined!

There were quite a few questionable calls though.

Particularly disappointing were the number of offensive-zone penalties they took. What was Lecavalier thinking, for example, in extending his arm to take the Jets defender out of the play on the developing odd-man rush in the 2nd (?) period? Or Downie with the obvious cross-check in front of the Jets zone? Those are stupid penalties to be taking.

I really liked Luke Schenn's play today. He is starting to feel more comfortable and contributing by finishing some nice passes again.
On the downside he got only 13min of TOI, but I guess that happens when you are paired with Meszaros...

I think you're right. G, Voracek and B. Schenn had good flashes, but no more than that. Vinny, Simmer and Hartnell did very little. All in all, not at all good enough. Without the 3rd line we lose this one.

Would I be wrong in saying Couts is already better than a 3rd Liner ?

He didn't get any points but he played pretty well today in the first half of the game and got 5 shots but he didn't get much ice time later in the game.

so does Mez. get benched for tomorow, my guess is NO..

from the sounds of it, he did nothing to warrent his staying in the lineup except almost give up goals yet again..
