HFBoards Ranks: The best player to ever wear #32

A series of polls charting which is the best player to wear each number. Some rules for the players selected in each poll:

- Any players listed under the number on hockey-reference.com are eligible.
- A player must have worn the number for at least five years to be eligible for that number (although if they're better known by another number they'll come under that - ie Ray Bourque will be in the #77 poll, not #7).
- We'll only do one poll poll number so the series doesn't go on for years.
Players so far:

Note: Due to incomplete polling options (#1, #2, #3, #5, #6) and dishonest polling options (#19), the previous six numbers will be re-polled at a later date.

I have a feeling Quick will win, but I take Claude Lemieux.

I went Hunter over Lemieux because I remeber Lemieux more for wearing 22 than 32, where as Hunter was always 32.

Was tempted to go with Dale Hunter, who was a great player... but Claude Lemieux was easily the best pest to play the game since I started watching hockey. I wonder what he would have done if he were playing in the 70's.

Chose Stumpy (Steve Thomas). While he never won the Cup, he was a great playoff performer and he did score over 400 goals in the regular season.

Steve Thomas was actually much better than I thought he was, he got my vote.

I also feel Lemieux may not have been a good inclusion for this number, even if he won a cup and had some good seasons in Montreal.

Next one should be an easy shutout, aside from the jokers' votes of course...

Probably wouldn't have done much at all, but I imagine playing NHL level hockey would be hard for an early teenage boy.

He won three though, and was an I portent factor.
