One hope for the new year....
Being that we are now in 2007, what is one realistic hope you have for this team in 2007? (I.e., something that has a real chance of happening.)
As for me, I hope that Marty ends up as the league leader in goals.
Discuss.

At this point, I would second that. Especially since it appears that Feaster lost Affy just for the sake of showing he still had a pulse. We have been under the impression trades were coming before, and we were disappointed. (I.e. last draft day, when as Feaster put it, we "were not" drafting a goalie.)

Vinny getting a 100 points and quieting all his critics.
Marty to keep leading this team along with #4
Good defense.

Richards breaking out of his slump to get on a similar pace for the 2nd half that Marty and Vinny had for the first half.
A trade proposal that considers Tampa's needs and has the other team giving up a valuable asset.
More defensive efforts like Saturday night.
One goalie stepping up to claim the #1 job.

I'd like to see us get a hitter on the team. I'm tired of seeing the check of the game being either someone from the other team, or Eric Perrin accidentally skating into someone. This "stickcheck only" crap is really hurting these guys at times, and if we can bring someone in who is responsible in his own end, and won't pass up a chance to crush someone, maybe he'll rub off on some of our other guys who have the ability.
I would like to see Feaster make some SMART moves. I have very little confidence in his ability to actually do this.
I'd like to see the coaching staff lose their job, or be forced into at least trying to make adjustments.
Lastly, I want them to make the playoffs. We all know what'll happen if they don't.

I was not really looking for miracles, but ok.

You really limited me here with the "something with a real chance of happening". Based on that restriction, my hope is that they finish above .500.

Sorry, I had too, or else my dream scenario would have thrown the whole thread right off track to begin with.

Why, when we've got 3 (Ramo, Bouton and Cey) in the minors that are kicking a$$.
Just hope we give them the rest of the year down there to get major ice-time, then trade Denis for a decent defenseman.

Cey has indeed been tearing it up recently hasn't he? Too bad our prospect pool is so poor.

Let's hope Ranger turns it around
Way too much talent to be in the dumpster. Although not a rookie anymore he is still one of the best for doing the "little things"

I hope that Feaster reads the tea leaves correctly and is a seller and not a buyer. This team can't be fixed quickly or easily, thus I commend him for not making a trade for the sake of a trade like so many here want. I notice how many other teams in similar situations are making trades (that's sarcasm). Maybe there is no one available worth aquiring. If he's the first GM to move quality players, he can make a killing and help retool the team quickly.
I hope that special teams are improved. I think it's coaching for the PP and personnel on the PK.
I hope Richards gets his head back in the game.

VL4 keepin' on keepin' on and shutting me up. There's a sticky-toffee in it for him.
Marty staying #1 in the league in goals scored.
FO shakeup: PLEASE?
