We can always improve the system (I sure hope we can at least), but if we bring Ramo up, it could destroy his future, literally.

Homer made some huge stops tonight, but the one's he should have stopped got by him. In other words, typical Lightning hockey.

Not much of a difference since Prospal and Fedotenko weren't producing with regular ice time and PP time.

The sad thing is. Vinny and Marty could very well put up 100 (or very close to it) pts each, have MVP seasons, and I doubt we make the playoffs. That is a damn shame for those two guys. Marty proves everyone who thought he was a fluke, and Vinny finally breaks out, and they won't even make the postseason.

I hope your idea for this team works out Jay, cause it's looking mighty mighty ugly right now.

lol@6 shots for Montreal in the third. 3 goals on 6 freakin shots.

God I love this team.

All 3 stars from Mishkin go to Habs players. That's saying something.

Ramo was on the worst team in Finland for a couple of years and it didnt hurt him there...though I do agree, another solid DEFENSEman would be kinda nice...

well that was fun to watch.. I don't think there is anything more that can be said about this team that hasn't already been said over and over... The coach and his "system" need to go..

I kind of hope we do very poorly on this road trip. If changes to the staff hasn't been made when we were 1 for 10 or so, it's going to take something severe to get someone fired, because apparently a non working system and players that don't seem to play well for you anymore isn't enough to lose your job.

I have no problem admitting that I am hoping for losses, the same old system isn't working yet the only move made was claiming Roy off waivers and waiving two players who while are not that good, were not the problem either.

The only time this team plays well is the one or two games after Feaster says something in the papers about making a trade then its back to the lethargic effort. We are still waiting for a move to be made and quite frankly I do not trust Feaster to make a move anymore. If it takes the losses to pile up for a front office shake up then I am all for it. I saw tonight's game as one less game till the Feaster/Tortorella tenure ends.

But Jay is in love with the coaching staff, he would rather trade one of the big three, make a lot of fans mad, before he does anything to Torts.

When did he ever say that? He doesn't want to do either. It may be his downfall.

If Feaster is that loyal to Tortorella then it will be his downfall.

Loyalty is nice but in a billion dollar business you have to do what is best for the team.

That's what a lot of people seem to forget. This is still a business. Yes it's fun for us to watch, yes it's entertainment, but yes, it's a business. Feaster has shown that he clearly has too much faith in this staff, and he'll go down with them when the ship sinks.

Do you honestly believe Jay would do something to Torts?? because i don't think so, Jay sees nothing wrong with the coaching staff and he has said that many times.

Jay doesn't see anything wrong with the big three and said he's going to keep them together many times. In the papers today he said Marty, Vinny, Brad, and Boyle would not be traded. If management tells him he needs to cut payroll, that's when he'll trade one of them. Nothing he will be able to do about that, he won't be able to choose between Torts and the big 3 in that situation. That's the only way he'd deal one of them. You don't sign guys like that to long term deals then deal them away right away. My guess is that he's fired before he deals one of those three or Torts.

What's the draft situation looking like this year? Seriously, I guess I need to start looking into it.

I read alot that it's a deep draft, with no clear cut (at least not yet) number one. I've read anyone picking in the top 15 or 20 will get a nice player. Just kind of wonder how this is going to turn out. Maybe in a draft like this, we'd be further ahead to move the pick for a later first, bring in some pieces for depth.

I don't think there are any Ovechkins/Crosbys coming in this season.

I went to sleep early in the second.. glad to see I didn't wake up until 2:00.

Angelo Esposito is supposedly the best player in the draft.

I love Esposito; he was at the memorial cup in Moncton last year and he is a great player. Unfortunately he showed up to the Team Canada camp and they decided he wasn't working hard enough to make the team. The year before they felt he was too young with so many returning players that he couldn't make it. I would have liked to have seen him lace up for some international play.
