Can Chipper play LW ?

After reading a few of you guys, it confirm some thoughts I had about our situation at center.

We have dept in the checking department with Pleks, Bonk, Chipper, Lapierre. So our 3rd and 4th lines are well centered. Our problem is moreso top quality centers for our first two lines even if we have Koivu and Kovy in a pinch. My point is that the laters are coming of have and the only *real* prospect we have is Grabovski. Mathieu Aubin is to be considered but he's more a long-term prospect.

At every stab I take to figure our lines with a bonified 2nd line center , the result is Ryder and Pleks as healthy scratches. In Pleks case I just keep banging my head since he is an asset in the lineup.

And with Bonk playing stellar, I say - with a young team - it might be essential to keep him with the team next year. Chipper could learn a lot from Bonk.

Which brings me to consider:
Hg - Ku - Lt
Pz - Pk - Kv
Cc - Bk - Jh
Bg - Lp - {St - Mu - Dw - Fr - Mr}

So my plan is to keep Pleks on the second line, since we do not have a farm prospect ready and we do not fair well on the UFA market. Once Chipper is ready, we dump Bonk, and Pleks can go center the 3rd line.

And yes I am assuming Chipper be NHL ready next year, Perezhogin isn't used as trade bait, Grabo and Kost don't make the team because they flake out

OK, so how nuts am I?

While he is no help in the immediate future but in several years Ben Maxwell will be in the mix.

Chipchura is a for sure safe bet to have a long steady NHL career, most likely on the 3rd or 4th line, with the reach to be a 2nd liner at most.

Are you starting an Habs periodic table filtered by positioning and lines?

No kidding. There's no rhyme or reason to the lettering, either. I've figured it out (I think), but c'mon dude!

Periodic table, sweet!

Yes I'm a lazy arse. Yes I live in my own little private world

Still it's not a tall feat to guess the names and convention. Unless you have very lazy hamsters in thoses wheels of yours...

Basically, first letter of the first two syllabuls and/or what letters best fit the pronounciation.

So "Mr" would be Milroy and "Mk" would be Mikus.

ooooohhhhh, aaaaaaaahhhhh...

Well, you'd think Hg and Ku would at least be considered Noble Gases if not Actinides! It's this kind of flimsy science that gives Creationism its street cred.

Creationism is not a science, it is a theory, as is macro evolution. And since scientists can't predict tomorrow's weather with much accuracy based on today's evidence, I pay little attention to theories about thousands, millions, and billions of years ago.

You want hard science? Habs rock and Leafs cup drought soon to reach 40 years with no end in sight...

Maxwell is extremely gifted. If he ever develops drive(he is young) he will be a real find. Great skater, vision, puck protection, passing, shot. He could be a real steal. He is very very smooth. This may sound a lil wacky but he reminds me of Marleau without the drive. He also isnt playing with much talent so, in the games ive seen, he makes great passes that are flubbed. He runs the powerplay with style.

Spree, you and I are exactly on the same wavelength. I was thinking Periodic Table from the outset. Maybe a Table from about 1000 A.D. Perhaps used by Brother Cadfael... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadfael
