Part of me wants to see OSU, Auburn, and FSU lose this weekend. Along with Oklahoma St., and Baylor.
I don't think you can have Alabama play Mizzou for a NC, since they didn't earn the right in the SEC championship.
So you have Chaos, but Mizzou vs who? A 2 loss Pac 12 Champion in Stanford? A 1 loss but otherwise perfect Michigan St.?
that whole win your conference thing is a legit point but it doesn't matter. if the cards fall right, alabama could be in the title game.
what are all the crybabies gonna do starting next year? alabama would be in the playoff without winning their conference. people complain regardless of outcomes and all these hypotheticals are funny to me.
i personally want to see FSU - OSU and watch Meyer get spanked. the only team that had a shot against Florida state was Alabama and we beat ourselves against auburn so hats off to them. see how they play against Missouri.
No the down years were the years after Stallings before Saban, you know when coaches were leaving Alabama for Texas aTm. The down years were Mike Shula and Mike Dubose
dont get me started on dubose... lets not forget price or franchione... we were bad for a while. true die hards like myself really enjoy the success because we were mediocre for so long. and if you do a little searching around the web, you would conclude this was a down year from things being said. but that's what happens when everyone hates you because you're a dynasty. the other side to that is the bandwagon, ignorant fans... i almost want to have a down year or 2 just to get them bounce to another team.. yuck
My brother and a life-long friend are both Bama fans, so I've seen the ups and downs. As a Notre Dame fan, I completely understand, we've not been truly great since Lou.... We're getting better though, just not this year with the injuries on defense and that crappy back-up/starting quarterback, Tommy the turnover Rees.
It's pretty much a given that the Rose Bowl will be Stanford vs. Michigan State - unless the Cardinal lose to ASU in the Pac-12 title game.
I don't think that's a given at all. If Michigan State loses I think they go to the Capital One Bowl. They're going to be a two loss team ranked outside the top 10 with their best win being at Iowa or at Nebraska, both 4 loss teams.
