The Kings played like the Oilers tonight. No finish, sloppy defensive play and a couple hilarious mistakes that ended up in the back of their net.

guymez, its one thing to be "objective" and give props where it's due, but virtually everything we see you post is either a) Calgary is so much better than Edmonton in this regard or b) Edmonton can't get it right with this, this and this... or c) look how Calgary did that, they played so well and are a hard team to play against, something Edmonton can only dream of etc. etc.

just saying, call it as we sees it, gets kind of tiresome

Lol, easy there bud. I'm a supporter of you and a realist as well. I'm simply stating what we all see. I'm not a spokesman, just saying, I've seen several comments directed towards you regarding this so I simply used "we" because I began to feel the same way. But you are right, I don't deny it. I'm just saying its a bit tiresome because that's how it quite clearly appears.

Anyways I'm over it, good day to you sir.

Sens and Wings, Alfie's return to Ottawa. That was a nice intro on TSN and this is an excellent tribute. Weird seeing him in another uniform, truly.

Yeah...my apologies for the rant.

Having to defend my fandom gets a little tiring.

Maybe we can agree on one thing...despite how bad the Oilers are there is still some very enjoyable hockey to watch out there.

There is some enjoyable hockey to watch but it's kind of odd that you pick out the Flames as an enjoyable team to watch. I'm sure that you can understand why some posters wonder if you're a Flames fan because you do post your adoration of them often and not one other out of town team. Maybe it's just you coming to the defense of the Flames since there are many Oiler posters who crap on them but it is odd that you defend them so often.
I'm not saying that you're a Flames fan but I can see why some posters have that suspicion.

That Alfredsson tribute video the Senators played tonight was horrible. One of the 'highlights' shown in slow-motion was of him pasting Tucker from behind in the playoffs, lol.

And him almost throwing his stick into the crowd in frustration. Was an odd tribute.

That was the worst Kings game I've seen in years. Fans booed them as well so it was duly noted.

Their PP was indescribably bad.

LA on rare nights look like they can't put two passes together.

But that Scrivens looks like just a joke handling the puck.

How does one get to be a pro goalie and be that bad handling the puck?

Its like being a lifeguard and not knowing how to swim.

What do you show as tribute in reflection of Ottawa Senators? Thats like team fail with very few hilites to speak of.

This is a team that fails even more than the Vancouver Canucks. Pretty hard to find the warm fuzzy moments given how pathetic the Sens as an alltime team have been.

Talbot has spent most of his career in the AHL with pretty pedestrian numbers.
He has however been red hot the past half dozen games.

A couple of years younger than Montoya but he would still be beating major odds in becoming an NHL goalie at this point.

Sure would have been nice if the Oilers could have been as pathetic as Ottawa was during Alfredsson's tenure. Ottawa was definitely better than league average over the course of Alfredsson's career, the fact that they didn't win a Cup is a product of a 30-team league.

Burrows out indefinitely with a broken jaw. Kind of feels like what goes around comes around (regarding Kassian/Gagner incident).

Honestly, I wouldn't go so far as to say they are a garbage hockey club, but they suck. And I highly dislike Carlyle, almost an even bigger stiff than Ron Wilson.

http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/g...on-money-owed/

NHL paying Gretzky the money they owe him.

Guys on snet saying this could open the door to more gretzky involvement with nhl/events, who knows either way its good he is getting what he deserves

If Gretzky was really holding back from being around the NHL over money owed to him by a guy that went bankrupt then I will lose a lot of respect for him.

Yes get your money, but you are going to holdback because you want the NHL to pay you that money that you were owed?

Hope it isn't true.

Came to post this, didn't realize Gino was that messed up.

Janssen runs Galchenyuk, Prust drops the mitts immediately. Must be nice to have that support.

Likely won't stop it from happening in the future. Players are going to get run regardless.
