Canucks are looking for a top 6 FWD

Quote:
According to @DarrenDreger #Canucks are among the most active teams in trade talk. Had interest in Martin Erat & still want a top 6 fwd.

Hemsky could be had, but it would have to be an overpayment since we are division rivals. :O

You forgot the

He's had an ax to grind with the Canucks ever since his cousin Nonis got fired in favor of Gillis.

I honestly believe that at this point Dreger is worse then Eklund.

He should be banned from this forum.

Having people ***** about Dreger is getting old. His job is to repeat what he hears. If you don't like him as a source, don't click on a thread that has his name in the title, it's that simple.

Matt Moulson for 2014 1st and Brendan Gaunce

You won't find a proven 30 goal scorer like Moulson at the cap hit he has (3.1) Moulson is the perfect addition to a top 6.

No. That is a lot to give up for an upcoming UFA.

Not at all. It's a sellers market. Thomas Vanek, who is also an impending UFA returned Matt Moulson, the proven 30 goal scorer and also a much much higher 1st rounder then the Canucks will have along with a 2nd rounder. Gaunce and a late 1st probably isn't even the best offer the Sabres will get for Moulson.

Moulson is not worth two first rounders.

Weird logic. So because Vanek returned Moulson then Moulson must be worth a lot and it proves this is a "seller's market"?

It could just as easily be that Moulson is virtually worthless (a cap dump) and it's a buyer's market..

Personally I think it's somewhere in between. Wouldn't give up a first round pick and Gaunce for Moulson in any event (but maybe the team feels he is a fit and worth that cost, I don't).

And yeah, kind of boggling at the notion that Dreger is in Gillis' pocket. Must be why he's had zero scoops on the Canucks since his cousin got ****canned..
