Should've acquired one when they dealt Schneider...
Or Hodgson? Horvat looks like the real deal and I'm not giving up on Kassian yet, but getting someone at least somewhat proven in both deals would have been nice. It's not like those 2 players weren't very valuable trade assets.
With Burrows seemingly headed to LTIR, it opens up possibilities cap-wise and allows the search for a top 6 to pick up traction. But as it's been mentioned, this isn't something we already didn't know, especially with Lebrun telling everyone that there was interest in Erat on our end.
Really don't get why people are constantly *****ing about Dreger lately. He's more accurate then any other big name insider out there and he's usually on top of things when they happen and occasion brings something interesting to light that's not really known.
Not sure what you all expect of him or any good insider really. He's not going to know what every GM is thinking and even if he did he can't just let everything loose so this is about the best he can offer at times and I'm fine with just that. That kinds of goes for any good insider too, not just Dreger.
EDIT: Nvm, Ruutu+2nd for Tanev. Ruutu's salary still sucks.

1. Ruutu is not a top 6 forward.
2. That is horrible for the Canucks considering we already have a bad contract in Booth (with only 1 compliance buyout remaining).
3. Tanev will only be moved for a good top 6 player without a horrible contract.
