The disappearance of Filip Forsberg

Is he injured? Scratched? In Milwaukee?

What is going on?

He got a mysterious injury while playing in Milwaukee last month and has only played 1 game since. He has been on the injured list ever since.

I say mysterious because all we know is upper body injury.

Forsberg is not on Milwaukee's roster according to TheAHL.com.

I would bet it is a shoulder injury. Nothing to link it to though

Yeah that's what is weird, at least last year we knew it was Wilson's shoulder. Last night FSTN showed a clip of Forsberg bowling at the bowling tournament the Preds had. So idk. If it is shoulder related then seeing him bowl hopefully means it is healing or almost healed.

Claim: We go on a 5 game winning streak once Foppa jr gets back in the lineup.

We cannot win w/o him.

Forsberg could be a huge piece for this team time will tell. But right now hes not a point per guy and his perceived role on the team is overrated at this point. We can't rush into a e role until hes ready.See Wilson, Smith to do so is not fair to the kid.

Now Jones on the other hand is special, he is leaps and bounds better than I thought he would be at his age. And when is all and done we will be happy to have this guy. Every young player must adjust there skill set to the NHL game.

Recently I read an article that places the peak age for a hockey player at 27, FF has time to develop. Question is does the team have the time to allow him to.

Who exactly is thinking he should be a point per game player right now in his career? For that matter, who thinks Smith or Wilson should be a point per game player?

By "we" you mean "Trotz", of course.

Barry: "So, who do we scratch tonight?"
Housley: "Well, Forsberg had two goals and an assist last night, but he didn't get back for the one time they nearly scored on Marek..."
Barry: "There you go. He's scratched."

I think Filip will be fine but I agree with Byrd in that he isn't ready right now for the role. he has been getting benched because of his =/- numbers or mistakes but not only for that reason. he really hasn't produced that much offense. he has one goal that he got on a 5 on 3 pp and I believe all his points have come on the pp with nothing even strength. Before we go into he was playing with the grinders or 4th liners he actually has played most of his playing time with Legwand and another winger on the second line. Only recently had he been playing with the grinders on the lower lines. IMO I just don't think he is quite ready for the NHL but is close and will be good when he is ready.

Yeah, but that is only an average. Forwards are probably about 26, D-men and goalies about 28 to get that average age.

I doubt it. I think if he was healthy, he would be playing.

It's amazing how quickly he went from having the "it factor" (with Seth Jones) in training camp to "needing a lot of work to produce in the NHL".

It's amazing what happens to you when you have offensive talent in Trotz's system.

I would not be shocked that when that is over he spends the rest of the season with the Ads.
