Was a fun game once it got into the latter half so I won't talk much about the bad stuff of it, but thank God for Mason and the Couturier line. There's Giroux too but I don't feel like he deserves to be mentioned with those two right now. As for why we won:
Couturier: 4 P
Read: 3 P
Downie: 3 P
That basically describes this game. Special teams, Couturier line, Mason. Read was my favorite player on this team before Mason and Couturier came about fully, but now it's Couturier then Mason then Read fairly far behind them then the rest of the team.
Three way tie for playoff spot right now so if I drank I'd rink a celebration one right now. I'll probably eat a panini instead. Also, Mason still has his "no more then three goals against" thing going.
Just an observation: Michael Raffl deserves a lot of credit for the Flyers turning the game around. Just when it looked bad, he had a couple great shifts using his speed. Drew on key penalty, then should've drawn another after being friggin' tackled by two guys after dumping it in. The coward refs were too afraid to call it. Then he did a great job on the late PK too. We need his speed in the lineup.
