Also, thank God that the Red Wings swooped in and stole Cleary from Holmgren.

3rd line was dominate. I only watched on and off this game but general consensis is that the top two lines need a shakeup yes?

If so I'd try to recombine Vinny and Giroux. Voracek has been MIA for a long time now.

Hartnell-Giroux-Lecavalier
Simmonds-Schenn-Voracek
Downie-Couturier-Read
Raffl-Hall-Rinaldo

(when Lecavalier is back that is)

We need his speed in the lineup.
100% agree. This was his best game so far. He was strong on the puck and very composed with the puck on his stick.

This playoff race in the Metro division is going to give some people heart attacks. Three teams tied for the last spot, Washington two points ahead, Carolina one point behind, Columbus three points behind. Pittsburgh is the only one who seems guaranteed to get it since they have the talent and the big lead while the Islanders seem like the only one where it's extremely unlikely they get in it. There's also likely not going to be any wildcard spots for this division or at least not as things stand.

So that's five teams competing for two spots within three points of each other and then Columbus just a couple points away from being that close too.

Can't really assume things I guess but I think Carolina and Colubus will fall out of it by the end of the season

Grossmann was his normal self out there tonight.

Eddie O picked the three stars tonight & he was raving about Grossmann all game long.

^ Matt Read was likely a high consideration, too.

That definitely was a penalty, but Abdelkader might have embellished it.
