Stan was on the Devils game tonight and said that the Coyotes are on the verge of a fire sale and a few more losses and anyone could be had. who might we want if this is the case and what would it cost us? Larouque for Pock and 4th would settle the Orr fighting
If Pheonix, Doan, Boynton and Nagy would probably be the likely candidates...And Laraques has a No Trade Contract
I also read a couple of interviews where George said that he prefers small-town life. He still has a radio show out in Edmonton. Pureley a guess on my part, but I doubt he'd want to uproot and head East. Would love to have him if he's willing.
Doan would be great, but I imagine the price will be really high. Every team can use a guy like that. Nagy isn't bad, but can he play center? If not, he's more of a luxury than a need. They'll probably move either Boynton or Morris. What has their play been like?
Zigomanis is capable of some good hockey, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to trade Rachunek. It's his first "new" NHL season, and he's improving very quickly
neither can big Geogers Laraque, he has a no trade clause. Maybe hed waive it since Sather drafted him. Id love Laraque. He is a 4th liner that can play.

From everything I've read about Laraque during his career, it sounds like he'd rather retire than play in a place like New York.
Maybe we should postpone this at least one more day as the Coyotes shut out the Hurricanes.
But since you asked:
Zigomanis for a 4th
or
Zigomanis and Michalek for Rachunek and a 4th.
Don't let a Coyote fan see this one. According to pretty much all of them, Michalek has been far and away their best defenseman, outplaying all of the big names. Plus he is cheap and young.
Yeah, don't expect the Rangers to acquire Michalek or Ballard. The Coyotes want to keep those guys to build around on the back end. Although I've heard a lot about them wanting to shop Boynton.

He doesn't have Ozolinsh hanging like an albatross around his neck anymore.
Doan would probably be the only one from the team I'd want, but we'd have to dig too deep.
Is Stan on crack?Phoenix has righted the ship after a terrible start.More losses? They have won four in a row with two of the wins being shutouts.Telleqvist is playing well for them. They are getting healthy.Phoenix dumped Comrie because they didn't want him on the team anymore.Barnett talked about using the $1.5 million they saved from Comrie to maybe add players, not subtract.Stan must not be able to stay up to watch the Coyotes because they are playing well.8 points out of a playoff spot with 43 games to play.6-3-1 in their last ten
