Leafs Immonen?

If so, he's already a star in Finland and looked super in the preseason.

My pick: Jarkko Immonen.

Rob Globke.

I have always liked this guy. During his draft year, a lot was being said about him being a first round pick and he had somewhat of a disapointing, inconsistent season and ended up falling a bit to the second round. He's always had the massive potential however. This is one of the fastest guys in the NCAA, who also happens to be a big guy, power player and who also possesses some of the best hands in the NCAA. He's a truly underrated prospect IMO.

I voted "No idea".

Immonen looked absolutely fantastic in the preseason and during Toronto's games against the Euro teams.
He doesn't have nearly the hype of Globke however, and Immonen seems to really falter badly on the smaller NHL ice surface from what I've seen.

I know little more then the hype and a few brief scouting reports on Globke, so I can't really fairly compare at all.

Immonen hasn't even played on the smaller ice.

He's played on Finnish ice quite a bit which is often in between the international and NHL size.

And he's slowly becoming a star in Finnish hockey. He's not faltering badly.

Yes but the other one (drafted by Dallas) is usually called Jarkko A. Immonen to avoid confusion.

Since I know exactly zero about Immonen I can't say that Globke or him will be better. Seems that several people know about the same about Rob so I'm surprised that Immonen is so favored. I guess we have more than just one homer here (at least he'll admit it).

Just to help with some of Globke's info:
He plays a power forward game and with his size (6'2" 205 lbs) it suits him well. Most reports I've read of him have me comparing him to a lesser version of Jeff O'Neill. He just won CCHA player of the week from last week's games in which he scored 2 goals and added 2 assists in 2 games against Wisconsin (ranked #4 at the time). He scored 21 goals last season for Notre Dame and totaled 36 points. He currently has 15 goals after potting 2 more last nite against Northern Michigan and 26 pts. Notre Dame is a very young team and as a senior Rob is taking an active leadership role. He's a clutch player too with 5 GWG this season and 12 for his career. His one knock is that he takes too many penalties and sometimes dumb penalties. He seems to have improved on that this season but still has some more improving to do on that. Last season if a play didn't go his way, it would affect him for the rest of the game. This season he's a much different player...and much improved player. His upside is that of a 2nd liner and with a yr in the AHL next season, he should be closer to realizing his potential.
