I tried posting this in the Torts thread, apologies for posting again, but it's a pretty interesting and well-written article from Grantland on the benefits and detriments of different styles of entering the offensive zone. Whether or not it makes you think about Torts, it's worth a read.

http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/...zone-entry-nhl

Curious what you guys think

Devils are about to lose this game on a HORRIBLE delay of game call.

EDIT: Right off the faceoff Tomas Tatar scores. Man that's gotta hurt.

Oh well .

And the Wings score. You never like to see that happen. Games should be won and lost on real calls. This was not a good call.

Devils played like garbage most of the game though.

I doubt they'd have won call or no call.

Love me some Tatar, super underrated young player. Reminds me of Vinny Prospal a bit.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Is that something like a reputation call?

Marty Brodeur's reputation of playing the puck illegally more than anyone else making the refs call one against Schneider. LAWL.
.
Chico was like, "refs have to give a make up call now right?"

*CLINCK!*

PPG 2 seconds in right off the draw.

Lirl Deb Placey trying to blame the Devils playing like trash on being tired.

Give me a break.

Corey Schneider played the puck in the trapezoid but the ref called it delay of game.

The puck was like a foot in the trapezoid, it wasn't even close.

Terrible call.

well hopefully they're tired tomorrow.

If Ryan Carter scores again, I'm jumping off the GW Bridge.

Haha, wow I just saw the Schneider penalty. The irony being that the trapezoid was essentially made for Brodeur.

He's injured I'm pretty sure.

Cam Janssen will score instead.

I don't think it was a foot but it was clearly inside the trapezoid. **** calls happen to everyone at some point in time. They were running out of time and down by goal and had hardly had any good chances in the third. They would probably have lost anyway.

Resch kind of lost it. That's always good fun.

Yeah, that's strange considering they usually let the call slide if a puck is just slightly on the other side of the trapezoid.

The crappy Devils had 11 shots on goal at home. If we lose to this team again tomorrow, I might ransack my apartment.

Turned on the Ducks--Hawks game at the beginning of the 3rd expecting an incredibly exciting game.

I'm disappointed, this period is boring as ****.

I must say though, Hampus Lindholm is incredible. So much poise and puck skill and he's only 19. Already the best Ducks defenseman.
