On another note I wish we had Roussel. Big player and annoying to play against

Nop Rinaldo assaulted Roussel. 10 min misconduct + 10 min assault + 5 min fighting + 2 min investigator

Seguin.. 4 pts another hat trick.. I wonder if the Bruins fans will still think they won that trade!

Did you read the previous post? I said that Rinaldo was NOT kicking out of the game for Kicking Roussel. He did jump him but didn't kick him with his skate.

Glad to see a rival make one of those 'character' trades.

It's far easier to tame a wild young star than it is to find one.

Bruin fans can claim they won't regret the trade, but they will. Seguin is a beast.

(I can't believe I traded him from my fantasy team)

"Edmonton traded Gretzky and then won the cup"

Yes. I think my favourite US-based commentators are Detroit

Always nice to see the Flyers lose. Simmonds on pace for 15 goals and a -29.

The goal is to wait for Holmgren to go full Holmgren and get Simmonds for Leblanc.

Seguin was actually one of my favourite prospects going into the 2010 draft. It was really disappointing that the Leafs gift wrapped him to Boston. I'll never stop disliking him for nearly single handedly beating Tampa and getting the Bruins to the finals to win a cup though.

If Schenn can go for JVR, then Simmonds can go for Leblanc.

Was there really any doubt that Thornton is a grade A POS?

Hope Thorton and Neal get suspended... I don't think that Neal will get some games, but Thorton really should get a bunch.

Wow, gotta be one of the dirtiest play ever. If it's not worst than Bertuzzi's it's gotta be pretty close.

Hmmm that's as cheap as it gets but it's against Marchand... kinda hard to feel sorry for him.

As for Thornton, I've heard that Orpik was taken out on a stretcher. Hard to fathom how this could be anything but a long suspension. Attack the guy from behind, take him down with a slewfoot, punch him unconscious. How long did Bertuzzi get? I know I know, there wasn't the premeditation aspect of it but still, this looks really bad.

Sorry if I piss some people off but in my observation fighting and violence are increasingly used in NHL branding down south, it's about marketing and business. Tonight's Rinaldo and Thornton incidents will garner all sorts of attention in markets where the NHL is desperately working to attract attention. Hockey as Extreme/Gladiator Sport.

Anyway I ****ing hate the way the NHL is evolving in this regard.
