So Subban, Tinordi, 2nd?

I'd love him as a Ranger… Stepan and RoR would be a very nice 1+2 punch up the middle for years to come… Sadly, I don't think there's a deal that works for both teams. MDZ + 1st + Fast is probably what the Rangers could float, but someone will beat that offer…

I thought Beaulieu was. Why else would his name be popping up in every trade thread. Everyone wants that hot commodity.

He's a young player on a young team on the upswing and he's a quality point producing center as well as a quality two-way force. Good luck for any team getting him.

Though he can play wing quite admirably, I think he's better suited to the wings. So agreed, I just don't get why ANY Habs fan thinks we need to trade for a centre.

Galchenyuk
Eller
Plekanec

could be one of the best groups of centres in the entire league in a couple of years. I guess it's just impatient fans that want a slight upgrade now, at the cost of our future.

It's up for debate. Tinordi fills a HUGE need and is a little more polished. In terms of potential, no doubt it's Beaulieu. I'd consider Beaulieu our #1 prospect. It's just how you'd define "#1 prospect." So no need for being sarcastic.

MB loves Character. Other than playing style, does ROR really fill this criteria? I've heard a lot of negative stuff about his attitude and how he dealt with this last contract.... who's to say he won't bolt to the KHL (again) for big money?

I wouldn't say no to acquiring him but, if guys like Kane and Yakupov are off the table for the same reasons....

ROR = Gallagher. they outwork the opposition.

Not sure how excited I am about a guy making as much as ROR and who's already been a hold out once.

That's not just his playing style that's his life. Ryan outworks everybody on and off the ice and that's why he's made constant improvement throughout his career and is now a top line winger and a future Selke winner.

O'Reilly is a practice freak, competes very hard and is loved by teammates and coaches. Zero attitude problems.

He and his agent had a contract conflict with Avs previous front office. It doesn't make him into some sort of cancer. It's business and shouldn't be interpreted as anything else.

If only Dutchy hadn't had that disastrous third season so the team wouldn't have decided that cheap bridge deals is how they were going to handle all the youngins. Then both he and ror would've gotten much cheaper long term deals back then. Ryan at 4-4.5 per would be one of the best contracts in the NHL and we could've had dutchy signed for less than tavares money. *sigh* Oh well, get ryan locked up for less than dutchy and I won't care about that extra 3 mil in cap space.

Not really surprising that teams are interested in ROR. Unless Subban is coming the other way (highly unlikely) then there's no deal to be made.

We are to believe this coming from the same man who made up some rumor about Ovechkin going to the Nashville Predators? Thanks for amusing us.

If he signs an extension before his contract expires the dollar amount can be anything, if his contract expires then signs a deal i think its 5mill and up

According to my sources the Habs are interested in ANY player that can improve their team, and that O'Reilly is 1 of about 200 on their radar
