Flyers/Penguins is always an event and a true rivalry, but these Bruins/Penguins games are pretty much out of control. There is a whole lot of hate there.

In part because the Bruins have stopped waiting for the NHL's wheel of justice to legitimately punish the Penguins for something, stemming all the way back to the Cooke hit on Savard. (yes I'm aware that the blindside rule wasn't in place yet)

I'm not sure how Rinaldo isn't meeting with Shanny after his attack on Roussel. It's essentially the same thing, he just didn't knock him out. He deserves something for his antics too. Watching the whole play I didn't see Roussel do anything to warrant it either, is there a history between the two?

"I mean, what do you want me to say? That I was trying to hit him?" Neal said. "No, I'm going by him, I don't get out of the way, like I said. I need to be more careful and I guess get my knee out of the way, but I'm not trying to hit him in the head or injure him or anything like that."

How can anyone listen to this with straight face?

7 minutes of PK time for his team basically ****ing them over is enough.

Bostons going to need a tough guy now that Thorton is probably done for the next couple months. Rosehill for a cup of chowda?

Pretty much. The Thornton incident is far and above anything that's happened in a while, but that was the dirtiest game in a long time just all-around.

Regardless of the rule, you're still 100% correct.

Neal only getting a phone call pretty much confirms that the only reason he's going to get suspended in the first place because the media (rightfully) made a big deal about it. That should have been a match penalty as well. But like I said, Marchand didn't die, so....

Yep. Matt Cooke and the Flyers are responsible for the current Bruins.

Between the two of them, they began to form a "take no **** from anyone" and "never give up" mentalities.

I'm honestly expecting 2 games at most.

He went for two headshots on one shift and was suspended one game, with history. Giroux, with no history, got the same suspension for one headshot.

I was hoping Neal would get like three to five games or so, but I know that the suspension system in the NHL is a joke. It basically comes down to whether you're a star player or not (such as Neal versus Shawn Thornton) and if you're a repeat offender or not.

So I'd be surprised if Neal got even more then a one game suspension if any at all. Thornton might have a very, very long one depending on how much leeway is given for not being a repeat offender and just where the wheel of justice lands.

I truely believe Neil accidentally extended his knee into marchand s face. Just like I believe he accidentally jumped and extended his elbow to coots head. Guy is just accident prone, not dirty. I'm glad the bruins responded the old fashioned way. That teams been due something like the Thornton incident awhile now.

Meh, Neal just extended his knee into Marchand's head to avoid contact, like when he jumped to avoid hitting Couts in the head.
