Once again, u expecting a player to become a superstar. Quit hating.

U must be upset that schenn isnt doing well or u would have said leafs should have kept schenn

Something is wrong with Rimouski... they have a lot of underachieving players this year and Gauthier is part of that even if he's not playing that bad.

Trainor was a 100 pts player last year and now he's barely a 1 pt/game player.
Morin looks bad on defense after being a high first rounder. As of now, he looks like a bust in the making.
Oligny was one of the most touted overagers on defense and this season, he's just average.
Desrosiers was really solid last season, got drafted in the 2nd round and now he's a mess.

I wouldn't see Gauthier's stats as a product of his own work but I'd say the team around him doesn't help.

Nurse and Finn should have been invited as well.

Interesting.

Could another shake up move happen, Perhaps with Gauthier?

When you see players underachieving like that, it's hard to trade 5-6 of them. I guess they'll look more to the coach even if he seems solid with the management as he also has the GM job.

I heard Francis Beauvillier, who was there last year, asked for a trade because he couldn't play for this coach anymore. He prefered being traded to the worst team in the league than staying there with a team that was supposed to be at the top...

Wow seems to be lots of red flags being raised there.

They just lost the fourth game of their road trip. I read somewhere that the coach said this trip would show what his team was made of.

They lost their 4 games.
They got outscored 23 to 10.
They are now sitting at 10th in the QMJHL.

Changes are coming for sure.

I agree with 7even, thanks for keeping us updated. Didn't realize some of the issues Rimouski had.

I'd love for Gatineau to acquire Gauthier, this way, I could watch him a lot.

Rimouski definitely is under achieving though. I have only watched them a few times and it's pretty gloomy.

I doubt Gauthier is going anywhere this season. He's only 18 and will be back next year. Rimouski's core players are 18 so they could contend next season.

There was a rumour though that was talked about by RDS' Q reporter, Stéphane Leroux. He said that if Grigorenko is sent back to Quebec, they could trade him to Rimouski and get Gauthier or Morin back next summer as Quebec is bidding for the 2015 Mem Cup.

Oh I know. Just wishful thinking.

When was the last time a Leafs drafted CHL prospect put up 100 points in either the OHL, WHL or QMJHL?

We could potentially have two in the OHL this year (although Verghaeghe has slowed down a lot. It's more likely he'll hit around 90).

Probably Kyle Wellwood.

Edit: Jeremy Williams.

They seem to be struggling in Goal big time.

I went to the Fronts/Otters game to see Macdavid and came away much more impressed with Brown (Obviously there's the age factor in there). He was all over the puck winning battles in the offensive zone and was the first guy back in the defensive zone. Kept on bugging my buddy asking him if he was related to Dustin Brown

Both of you are exactly right. NHL success is almost always preceded by junior success, but junior success isn't a guarantee of NHL success, is how I view it.

Exactly. You can pick a hundred examples of players putting up points and not succeeding and a hundred more of them putting up points and succeeding. History is not a direct predictor of the future. Just a metric to speculate on a small portion of it.
