So we have had the groin concussion and now the neck concussion?

All jokes aside it sucks how injuries have derailed staal's career.

He was on the cusp of being a great D for us for many years. What was the last full season he played?

staals past couple seasons have been so strange considering he was considered such an ironman up until the hit his brother put on him.

Alot of concussion like symptoms come from the neck. Misaligned vertebrae can cause a decrease in bloodflow to the brain and as a result can cause dizziness/headaches etc etc. Take it from personal experience.

Hopefully things will sort themselves out for Staal.

This. Concussions aren't something that there is an obvious test for. Can't give him an MRI or blood test and tell if he is concussed or not.

Headaches could be a concussion. It could be from a neck injury. It could just be a headache.

Staal is never gonna be the same. Poor guy has way too many injuries the past few years. Excellent dman but after all these injuries, how good will he be? He hasnt been good this year now we might have to worry about another concussion? I hope not. Only positive that can come from this is DZ getting more minutes and hopefully breaking out under AV.

I wonder if Marc ever asked his brother why he did that to him. It still pisses me off. That was disgusting

Nobody did jack **** about the hit on Staal.

Nobody did jack **** about the hit on Kreider late in the game. Did Kreider have it coming with those spears? Maybe. But isn't it a "golden rule" around the league that you don't let other teams **** with the kids?

Kreider, Zuccarello, and Nash shouldn't be this teams best agitators.

Yeah, why couldn't they retaliate, give the other guy a concussion, thus erasing Marc's concussion. What a bunch of WIMPS.

****. Just ****. Hit may have been clean, but **** it. Let the Devils rookie know that he doesn't own the ice. This team just plays scared now.

That's two concussions and an eye injury for Staal in the last two years.

Lol what? This team lets their guys get hit all the time, would it kill them to go after someone for hitting one of their guys once in a while? Unless you like a team with no balls

it just goes to show the lack of heart by the leaders on this team.. I dont see Callahan or Girardi ever get mad anymore.. i guess that want their fingers to sign those overpaid contracts on july 1 i hope they get traded.

If the team gives me skating lessons and some cash, I will go out on the ice during our stadium game and lay out Boucher for this.

But seriously, this ****ing sucks. Staal can't catch a break.

It still doesn't matter. Reacting to it doesn't stop it from happening in the first place.

Staal got hit with a clean check. That is going to happen no matter how many opposing players you fight.

It's time to move Staal. His career is close to over

Ok but can we see some damn anger or passion?? Doesnt it bother you that this team does NOTHING? What if Hank gets hit in the head and gets concussed? Or your favorite Talbot?

You know that's not what he was alluding to...

I'm not a gung ho tough guy supporter like a lot of posters on here, but anyone who's been watching this team knows they've been getting pushed around quite easily this year.

You don't win in this league without a backbone.

WIth all of this talk, is it possigble Staal gets the buyout? Or does he end up on IR and sit until his contract expires?
