Ryan Miller Sweepstakes

The Sabres need to trade Ryan Miller for his own good. He's playing lights out and gets very little help.
Sabres fans don't want him to walk for nothing.

So what would you guys offer for Miller?

You mean starting goalie or starting skater?

also, could deal with that. I'd ask for more but probably won't happen

No reason to help the Blues if Blues aren't willing to help Sabres.

Lol. This again huh.....

I want Miller traded so that our rightful place at the bottom of the standings next year will be fulfilled. Also so these threads will stop. But rightful place first.

For the sake of my fantasy team I really hope Miller goes to St. Lou and Halak gets moved out in the same deal

I had an interesting thought about Ryan Miller, and perhaps more interestingly the two teams I'm suggesting and their futures going forward:

BUFFALO TRADES: G, Ryan Miller AND G, Jhonas Enroth

TO THE OTTAWA SENATORS FOR: G, Craig Anderson AND G, Robin Lehner

(insert whatever picks or other assets need to be included, but this would be the major content).

Here's my thought process (from an impartial perspective)

Ottawa is embarking on a window where success is the name of the game, they had a lot of really strong drafts and it's a credit to one of the best scouting staffs in the NHL that they were able to have such a strong season last year despite a wealth of injuries. And I think they have a team that can win. Anderson's health has been a question mark--and his play has at times been mercuric. In acquiring Miller the expectation is to win and to sign him long term for the future and years of anticipated success. Enroth would serve as a strong back up who in 2015 will be a UFA and can test the waters if he's shown he can be a quality starter.

Buffalo would acquire Craig Anderson, who like Enroth becomes a UFA in 2015, and so decisions will be made accordingly. But more so the Sabres would acquire Lehner who is by all accounts a stud in the making. He has the ability to be a starter--and has shown it already. As Buffalo looks to rebuild he could be an excellent asset, he's 22 and will be an RFA at season's end, so they can probably sign him on a decent deal and he can continue to grow and try to prove he can be a starter when or even before Anderson's deal expires.

So essentially it's a Lehner for Miller deal in the long term prognosis. However this scenario avoids a Miller-Anderson controversy in Ottawa and an inexperienced mess between Enroth-Lehner in Buffalo.

Noway Ottawa gives up Lehner ... and I don't blame them.

Agreed, I think Lehner might be untouchable unless some team falls in love and gives Ottawa a complete over payment.

Incredibly lopsided in favor of Buffalo. No way Ottawa touches that.
